On the PS1 I got hooked on Resident Evil 2 & 3 - finally games that were more absorbing and scarier than a lot of horror movies!

On the PS2 I couldn't get enough of Time Crisis 3, it's a game that gives me arm ache but I can't resist it.

Mario Kart on the Wii keeps me coming back, especially to play online. That game is just pure fun, especially when played with others.

Right now I'm addicted to 2 PSP games though - Outrun 2006 and Micro Machines. They're so playable I just keep coming back!

Oh yeah I almost forgot Paperboy on the NES! Such a basic game, but I just can't stop playing it, it's so much fun!

Command and Conquer. A game that should come with a health warning.

Ive loved tons of games, but to say addicted?

Probably EA skate, GTA San Andreas, Super Mario Land, Micro Machines, EA Hockey, Mario Kart. Those games took over my life at certain parts.

First game that REALLY hooked me was Donkey Kong in the arcade, followed by the original Wonder Boy. At home, I got really into Moon Patrol on the Atari 2600, then Manic Miner, Jet Set Willy, Knight Lore and Saboteur on the Speccy, though I don't play Knight Lore much these days because Head Over Heels was a far superior isometric game.

At the beginning of the Nineties, the only console games I gave much time to (I stuck with my old Speccy until the market was pretty much dead and buried and the SNES came out) were the early NES Mario and Zelda games at my mate's house, which is probably why I became a Nintendo fanboy, lol.

I keep continuously going back to the TMNT arcade games every time I fancy playing a scrolling beat 'em up too, I'll never quite outgrow them I suppose ;)

Forgot to also mention that the first Streetfighter game hooked me real bad in the arcades back in the day. Having played it since on the Capcom Collections pack I'm not entirely sure why, but I seem to have fond memories of it being incredibly playable with some amazing gfx.

Spectrum : Bubble Bobble in 2 player of course.

Commodore 64 : Elite, Paperboy.

Amiga : Elite.
First Samurai - a great game and love the hacking and slashing.
Monkey Island 1 & 2 - even the disk swapping couldn't dampen my love of this game.
Populous II - great in 2 player link up, and great as a 1 player game as well.
F19 - once you get used to the stealth element, and learn how to use it, this is a great flight sim.
Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge - great in 2 player, but great in 1 player as well. I finally managed to complete it via the use of WinUAE.

PC : Dune II - A great RTS game.
Tie Fighter - One of the best space sims ever made.
Civilisation - On PC with a hard drive and VGA this game made sense. Great fun.

C&C, Total Annihilation and Doom II all on PC were most addictive for me.

Spent about a year just playing TA every night, the modding scene for it was amazing, even though having 56k and downloading those 10mb maps was a right ballache

Has to be Champ/Football manager in almost all years since god knows when. I've wasted soooo many hours on it every year.
Also Final Fantasy VII has taken up quite some man hours over the years, i must have played it a dozen times.

The 2 games that really stand out for me are Tetris on the Gameboy and Unreal Tournament on the PC, especially UT, there was a time when I just could not play that game enough.
