What arcade game should be in EVERYONE'S top 10

Post by paranoid marvin » Sat Aug 23, 2008 4:33 pm

As the title says , which single arcade game should make the top 10 of everyone's list in order for you to respect it?

Doesn't have to be the best arcade game ever , and it doesnt have to be number 1 - but in your opinion it should never be omitted

For me the one game that I would expect to fill any top 10 arcade games of all time is Missile Comand. Truly sublime at the time , it's attraction has only grown through the years - and the inability to play it in it's true form on an arcade machine with track ball and independant fire buttons arrayed perfectly only helps abscence to make the heart grow fonder.

I would LOVE to play this machine if only one more time , but I guess that is highly unlikely to happen. I DO know that anyone who ever played it will never forget it , and that arcade gaming would have been all the poorer if it had never been created. Missile Command MUST make the the top 10 of any list of the best arcade games ever

I would have to say Robotron. Unfortunately I never got to play it as much as I would have liked as there was only one that I knew of localy....but what a wonderful game, that I still play on XBLA from time to time.
The last real Robotron I have seen/played was round at Archer Maclean's house about 3 years ago. I have a photo of it somewere...and what a charming bloke he was too.[/img]
