I suppose it had to happen, but when I went into my local GS yesterday, all the Gamecube stuff was £5.99 and up. Where's all the 4 for £10 deals? There were not really many PS2 titles either for the multi-buy bargain hunters like myself.
Fckuking credit crunch

Thoughts and prayers.

Thats odd, when I went to gamestation last week I though prices were coming down on GC stuff (Donkey Kong Jungle Beat for £1.99). Who knows!

The Gamestation in Leeds city centre has very little retro stuff now, not even the odd random console in the window

There's still plenty of '4 for £10' games (inc. Gamecube) and lots of PS2 games in the Liverpool branches. I'm a bit spoilt though, because I've also got the choice of CEX and a fair few independents as well.
Sig pic temporarily removed...The Magnificent 7 will ride again

Gamestation in MK has no Gamecube games at all
Which is rubbish considering I only just got my hands on a Gamecube!
I've noticed Gamecube console prices are dropping rapidly. £15-20 I'm seeing them for most of the time. Xbox has dropped to £30 as well.

I think the answer's in there, Toxie. Our GS has only Smith's and Woolies for competition. Hence the prices. IMO
Thoughts and prayers.

I know its not Gamestation - but just ordered from Game for the first time ever , selected quick one day delivery and 3 days later still nothing. Gonna take it all back once i get it (whenever that is) and get my money back out of principle. Wont be using them again.

That's a shame. The Gamestation in Wood Green still does few Gamecube games, usually priced between £2.99-£7.99

In GAME over here Gamecube games are €8 a go. They actually had hardly any left in the shop near me, but I discovered that in one of the stores near work they had quite a few.

Game, Gamestation and Gameplay are all the same company.

Gamestation in Bath has sod all retro and the PS2 section is damn poor - the shop stinks too!
Its about time given the size of the industry we had decent sized game stores like HMV or waterstones instead of tiny shops with only enough room for the latest releases and usually, on a Saturday, not enough room for the que of people at the till.
