What games would you recommend? he's nearly three, so I thought perhaps I would pick up a few PS2 titles for him.

Thanks guys.

The PS2 has countless cartoon/disney games that he will probably love.

Got hold of Robots and Nemo, but oddly enough he enjoys Virtua Fighter 4 best of all :o he calls it "oof oof" (aka hitting noises).

my kids love super monkey ball, give em a pad each and just watch em' go  also any platform game i laugh my bo11ocks off watching em swinging their little arms about when making jumps.

the youngest one 3yrs loves lego indy, she doesn't know what to do at all, she just spends all the time kicking the crap out of poor satipo

Some of the Buzz games like Jungle Party are quite good and simple to use.

My Son is nearly three and likes to give it a bash.... literally sometimes :)

If he's halfway decent at keeping a car on track, he could have a lot of fun with one of the Burnout games. Even if he's not too steady on the steering he still might enjoy the mayhem of crash mode.

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil springs in mind, as well as Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy.

Silent Hill 2..... What? ;)

The Scooby Doo Castle game(can't remember the name) is brilliant according to my Godson.

Hit Blockbusters they have LOADS in the 4 for £10 section as do Gamestation. Can't go wrong for those prices.

Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex is a good title for the little ones as it's a fun platformer that is not that difficult.

Don't go for the sequels though as they're much darker than this one!

There's a least 1 Noddy game on the PS2, a few of the Disney games (like Quack Attack) would probably be suitable and there were a few games specifically aimed at younger children like Countryside Bears, Animal World Cup and some other title about a detective mouse or some such and which included a jigsaw, colouring book and some other stuff - best off avoiding these latter as they aren't really games, just animations.
