Konami's "SHADOW OF MEMORIES"

Post by iLOVEZelda » Sat Jul 26, 2008 9:34 am

I was just cleaning/trying to re-organize my games this morning and i found a game that i'd forgotten i had and have never played...

It's a KONAMI game called "SHADOW OF MEMORIES".

I have never heard of this game before (that's why i bought it i think!) and i was wondering if anyone has played this game? if so what do you think of it?

Thanks y'all! xx

It's a very decent title and is likely to be obscure. Plus it's one of those games that is overshadowed by the Resident Evil and Silent Hill
series. Had a very good storyline to it.

I have this one on xbox, though it was initially an early ps2 release. I have hardly played it to be honest. All I can remember from playing it years ago is the ridiculously loud footsteps in this game, has anyone else experienced this - what on earth is that about  ? It just sounds weird in proportion to everything else (before anyone tells me to turn the volume down :) ). I don't know if it is the same on ps2 but try it and see what I mean.

I thought that this was a fun game. I liked it, but felt that the main character had a very bad case of gender confusion.

I played it a few years back. The story of going back in time to prevent your death was good, I think there are 5 different endings but each path has only minor variations so i stopped playing after finishing it once.

*Spoiler* The ending I got did make me laugh tho - the main character saved the day and prevented his own murder then got run over by two drunks in a car while walking off. Reminded me of an old wild west film I saw when the main character defending a village squares up against the gang of bad guys in the final shoot out and they just kill him and the credits roll.

It's one of teh most entertining games on the PS2 in my opinion. One of theose great games that tends to get completely overlooked and noones really heard of. Wasn't there 5 differential endings you had to get and only then you could get the 6th and DEFINITIVE ending though? Think I played through to 3 of the endings then gave up. Always entertaining though.

I have played it and while the concept is interesting the gameplay is pretty weak. It's an adventure game but it has minimal puzzles and absolutely no challenge.
