Barbie Dreamhouse party.
i was bored and had it on my Wii HDD so gave it a go on stream and...........
Its dumb, each room in the house has objects that must be found before the mini game (Detergent in the garage, Stage lights in the lounge(?) and MP3 player in the library(??) to name some), these are not always there and only are when the game feels like it has wasted the most amount of your time
Then on the the mostly bad mini games, one involves throwing gears into grids to fix the machine (?). Two COUNT-EM TWO costume ones, a dancing one in the library (because thats what library's are known for), Catwalk in the lounge and grooming animals in the bathroom, Cat, horse (how the bloody hell did they get it upstairs and why is it in the house?) and dog, I had to much fun cleaning the p***y (Muff as I called it).
Bloody hell the game was dumb, not awful just seemingly lacking in good ideas

I finished adventure island II on 3DS this week.
A bit repetitive for me.. 6/10..

Last week was kid Icarus on 3DS
I loved it, so retro and innovative (at the time).
Highly recommend if you love retro platformers

Rocket Knight Adventures (Mega drive)

After hearing it talked up for over 20 years - thought i'd give it a go. I really enjoyed it; a lot of cute platforming ideas and stage variety. It's maybe a little easy but that just means I can rattle it off now and then, when I have a an hour. I'd definitely recommend it.
Now try it on a higher difficulty to see the better ending.........
Oooh I never knew that.. I do absolutely love that game, possibly my fave platformer (along with Revenge of Shinobi) on the MD and one that I can come back to time and time again.

M&Ms Kart racing done.
This is one of the most drab, soulless, uninspired boring, kart games to exist.
The first few stages you are punished for going fast due to them putting obstacles on the track, seriously if you are going fast you wont make any turns and end up slamming into something or getting stuck behind things like turn signs, posts door frames, the game judders a lot, the levels are things like "House" "Farm" "Sea carrier" "Alien spaceship" "Racetrack" (NASCAR). The "power" ups are cups that are mostly Nitro bursts into what ever corner they are placed on.
The ending screen is a hint to the quality of the game

Calvin Tucker's Farm Animal Racing - Wii
DONE!
This is the only Kart game I can think of where one of the power ups is poo,
You can take a dump on the track, also petrol bombs and aliens.
Bizarrely fun, if wants you to ram into other players. Shame its only up to two players

Shadow Point.

It's a decent, if fairly predictable story that the gameplay doesn't quite match. The mechanics aren't hugely interesting and quickly become tiresome, long before the game is over. I think I'd have enjoyed it more if they'd condensed it somewhat, telling the same story over half the length of game.

Just looked that up on the 'Tube and it looks pretty funny - would probably be good for a drunken laugh in multiplayer. How on earth did you survive that horrific music though!
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

Finished the main story and got the Platinum on AC Odyssey. A mere 180 hours.

Time for a DLC dive.

Cabela's Survival: Shadows of Katmai (Wii)

Bloody short game, (did it in about two and a half hours, seemingly no reason to re do it) it was a kinda interesting idea but was hindered by a few annoying problems.
It liked to focus on enemies that are not as much of a threat than those right near by, it dont auto reload, it has a "Focus" mode, but if you are playing with a gun attachment (it asks if you are) its on the minus button meaning you have to change grips away from the trigger to press it. It seems to forget to load some animations
It also gets bloody dark at times, I had my TV on the highest brightness level and still couldn't see some sections.

It has a hunting game mode as well where you shoot every single moving thing
Kinda recommended as there are worse things to spend two hours playing

Dragon quest xi standard version. 97 hours, got the platinum. Decent game, fairly easy and not as good as 8 but still enjoyed it.

Nothing on the scale of the completions above, but (after 30 years!) finally managed to finish Fantastic Dizzy on the Mega Drive.

Not the most challenging game ever, but the lack of cartridge battery back-up (really challenging - don't like leaving the old MD on over night these days!) and the fact that you had to find all 250 stars to get to the final boss, made it much harder. I was missing one star for about an hour, literally re-tracing my steps through the whole game, and was at my wits end before I finally found it!

I now also have a deep-rooted hatred of minecarts and rats in sewer systems!

Nice! I'm not sure if I ever got far past 150 stars. My brother got to 249 when we were kids (on the NES version).
