Both Nintendo and Microsoft had good E3 showings. Nothing too mind-blowing but good.

The other company showcases probably should of just asked Nintendo or Microsoft to cram their announcements into either one's showcase.

They certainly piled it on for the Zelda fans at the end there.

There's also the inevitable E3 eShop sale on now. There are some pretty good games like Metro: Last Light, Bastion/Transistor and Mario + Rabbids at 70-90% discount. Most of the big first party games are only getting 33% off though, but that's about as good as you ever get with them.

Mushihimesama has dropped globally, just over £15 which feels like a good price. Apparently Espgaluda 2 and DoDonPachi Resurrection are also on their way some time this year

These aren’t by M2, but by LiveWire, who I think are made up of some ex-Cave devs? So they should still hopefully be good quality ports but maybe just not with all the bells and whistles M2 throw in

Aaaand looks like the firmware bug has hit me trying to buy it, though just letting it sit for 10 mins then trying again did the trick in my case

Yeah, it was like the teaser for The Outer Worlds 2 but minus the irony and about twenty times longer.

Looks essentially like the "XL" model of the range. Out in October, compatible with previous docks and Joycons.

I might get one later down the line but since I don't play my Switch in handheld there's not much point in me upgrading at the moment. The white version looks very smart though.

Screen up from 6.2 inches to 7 inches hardly seems worth it, if I had to guess I'd say that spec was determined by price of existing available OLED screens rather than a genuine desire to give us a bigger one.

I want a 10 incher, I'd buy into that as an upgrade, but not this one.

Yeah, it's more like a refresh than a new model.

I won't say that the changes to the design aren't improvements but nobody's realistically calling this an upgrade.

The price hike seems a bit cheeky too, although rather predictable given that they can barely keep up with demand at the moment.

For those hoping for a vastly improved model, the technology just isn't quite there yet to make a meaningful difference. Certainly, you can look at the current crop of handheld PCs like the Win 3 and Aya Neo - which are indeed somewhat more powerful - but they're more than twice the price and nearly twice the weight of the Switch while still not offering a full 1080p display. Without blowing out the price and size of the Switch, the most they could offer would be to shore up the performance of existing games, and that's probably not enough.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl only really bothered as it has Powdered toast man and Nigel "Smashing" Thornberry

I like Bombuzal, that was good on the Atari ST.
