You get lives in it? I just had a life bar
Pretty sure you get statues that give you checkpoint-style continues upon death? I seem to remember burning my stocks on tough sections, then re-starting from points where you couldn't pick up anymore. It was only really a bugger on insta-death segments as having the life bar made no difference.

Hopefully I'm not mixing it up with another similar third-person game.
You find Dragon statues that let you continue from where you died and a restart point when ever a part is done, they get bloody long later on. But other than that, no lives.
TBH a lot of third person games of that time and onwards look the same.
Graphic's haven't progressed since the PS3/360
Boll0x to it - I think I'll be giving Beast Rider another go soon (just need to re-buy it!)

I know what you mean about games looking the same from that period too. Stuff like the PS3 (and PS2) Conan games, and X-Blades all look similar.

Played through Metal Gear Solid this week for the first time.
I liked the plot twists a lot.
I've heard rumors of some, but others I never knew existed prior to playing it.

Turrican 1 Amiga 1cc I had around 40 lives on the last boss (a 3 headed skull thing). Got the trophy for a 1cc clear and collecting 50 lives.

The reviews say it’s supposed to be hard but it incredibly easy

Yakuza 3 Remaster - definitely won't be going for 100% on this one, as I'd forgotten how infuriating some of the side stuff can be. Weapon modding for instance...got a decent way through it before calling it a day once I realised that I'd have to beat the Expert level batting cage several times to win the required materials. I'll clean up most of the optional stuff but leave that and (as always) the casino/gambling games.

Overall though, I still really enjoyed revisiting Yakuza 3. I bought the original on release (the first game for my then-new PS3!) and haven't been back to it since so I'd forgotten most of the story, making this remaster feel quite fresh. Definitely not the strongest story of the series, but it's also far from the black sheep (I'd give that title to Yakuza 6).

Going to have a break and play some other stuff before getting into the remasters of 4 and 5.

Onee Chanbara Origins (or however you spell it) on both Nornal and Hard. I play those games so much I was V ranking every level and unlocking several quests.. Strangely hard is much easier then normal as Saki is playable and she’s a far better character and her hand to hand style is insanely overpowered. Also you play as both girls the unkockable hidden character albino lady is a bit rubbish.

Seemed they fell victim to censor as some of the Capcom looking characters have been reimagined.

Has this been released over here yet or did you play an import? Last one I played was Z2 Chaos on PS4 and it was probably the best one yet (at the time) though it still got seriously repetitive very quickly with some crazy glitches.

It’s on the UK store but pricey I paid £50 for the season pass limited edition. It gives you loads of costumes and the Clone (Lady forget her name she wants to eat Aya and Saki’s hearts. The costumes are really cool gives Aya a classy long woollen dress and hat that makes her look like a secretary on Saki gets a Alice in Wonderland outfit as well as Rikp themed swords and extra levels.

I can’t recommend the game enough it’s fabulous. Completing it in normal on hard there’s only been 2 bugs.

1) You fight Zombie Super soldiers including a soldier with a Gatling gun who hugs the walls as when he fires he’s locked into a animation and can’t move. Aya fell through the floor and died when attacking him.

2) Drowsy the Bear boss fight basically Aya goes over doe eyed and squeaky voiced when she see’s cute things and wants a drowsy the bear cuddly toy from the Zoo. Anyway Drowsy is still alive as a gigantic demon bear and that fight can be glitchy due to the huge Drowsy sprite. When you Parry Drowsy he has 5 hits you can parry but it tends to go to a third person view

The levels are mostly short and a lot of the rooms and fights are optional items of Angel statues. Most enemies die really quick but there 1000’s of them, combat is insanely fast and loads of moves. Saki fights very differently as she uses hand to hand combat like her mother she rips peoples arms and beats their severed limbs or does a Hagger like Piledriver. She has dragon punch moves and air juggles air more long range hitting multiple enemies whilst Saki targets a single zombie pulling them in half

The bosses are single levels and suitably insane such as giant baby who strangles Aya with its umbilical cord and AYa and Sakis father who becomes this masked Yoshimitsu Oni armoured guy. Lastly a naked woman with danger tape wrapped around her breasts. Lastly the 3 girls talk continuously throughout the levels Aya’s cut fetish stuff over fluffy bunnies and cuddly toys is hilarious.

Oh and they both have 2 demon forms and you don’t get the constant energy in the first for

It’s been my most played game along with Battle Axe and Turrican 1 on PS4

Resident Evil Village finally Mother Miranda was the typical very hard last boss she’s a bullet sponge who does tons of damage and has seemingly unblock able attacks

I think I'm done with Yakuza 3 Remaster now. Got about 93% completion with most stuff completed, and only a few bits that I can't be bothered with - gambling/casino games (I leave these every time save for cheating the roulette with the items to get rich quick), weapon-modding (trying to clear the expert batting cage for the Ash wood and blueprints was driving me nuts), and pool (because the expert opponent is like the Terminator).

Have to say that the Amon battle was a walkover this time though. I just equipped the accessory that gives Kiryu infinite heat and spammed weapon heat actions.

Hugo magic in troll woods (Wii)
Feck, it isnt a bad game, it looks like all the levels have Vaseline slapped on them, its a bit easy a few annoying things like platforming can be a d**k sometimes and enemy placement. Also a lot of the "Puzzles" are boring
