WTD: PS2 that plays US & JAP games

Post by bensonrad » Tue Dec 30, 2014 4:59 am

Still on the hunt for a cheap PS2 that will play USA & Jap games, mine stopped working (well it stopped playing the import games) so have a pile of games I am gagging to play, but currently can't. I don't need leads or controllers, just a console unit.
Cheers
Ben

I have a slim that is modded to play everything but it needs a new dvd drive. Old one no longer reads disks. Any good to you?

Sounds interesting :D I have an unmodded slim, guess I could switch out the dvd player part from that perhaps.

As long as the model numbers match that would work. I will look it up later today and tell you which it is. Some hardware revisions make some dvd drives incompatiable.

Model number is 77003. Pretty sure you would have to match the numbers up. I have a spare 75003 and the lazer design seems slightly different as it didnt fit.
