Anyone selling a C64?

Post by markopoloman » Sun Jan 26, 2014 9:50 pm

My C64 has died :(

Don't suppose anyone on here is selling one - or has a working spare that they want to shift? Preferably not a C64c ?? :)

Crewe :( A little too far for a quick trip from Poole unfortunately. Wonder how much it would cost to post all that? Are the original games?

I have one but it's in need of a lot of TLC.
Completely untested.
You are welcome to it for postage only but it may not even work.

H Junkmale, that could be just the ticket! - is it just the C64? Or is it with power supply? Cassette deck? Maybe worth a try though. If it does work and it looks a bit worn, I could always remove the insides and swap them into my nice looking dead one! Can you find out what postage costs would be to Poole, Dorset?

Thanks... :D

Yep there is a power supply and a tape deck but they are in equally poor condition. There is at least one button missing on the keyboard.
I bought it in a charity shop years ago for spares but have never used it. Not sure if all the connecting cables and stuff are still there?

It may all be complete junk but i'm more than happy to parcel it up for you and get a postage cost.

Yeah that would be great! If the insides work - I can swap stuff around. If it is a heap of junk - I'll find something to do with it :D

No worries. You are most welcome.
Give me a day or two to get it together and i'll let you know. We are having some pretty bad weather here in Belfast at the moment :-(
If you change your mind or get a better offer it's not a problem just let me know.

Not sure if you're interested still - would only be looking to cover costs not make my fortune.

Its in my local charity shop , they save consoles and stuff for me and id rather buy it and pass it on than let them bin it.. Is a tenner a good price for one - never owned or bought a commodore before.

As I said id only look to cover cost of getting it and posting it so if a tenner to buy it is too high then the cost of posting it wont help much. A courier would probably cost 7.00 ish though im only guessing.

Hi shiftytigger, sorry, missed that post on the 5th! Yeah £10 sounds like a fair price to me + postage. Not received a pm yet - did you send it to the right person :?
