Retro Gamer Magazines

Post by tachi » Fri Jun 18, 2021 7:17 am

I've over 100 old issues of RG ready to go to the tip as I simply have no room for them anymore.

I'm in Horrabridge outside Plymouth so if anyone is willing and able to collect them, they may do so, or they'll be going over the next few weeks.

Thanks

Why don't you sell them on ebay or something?
I would have them but I'm in Essex so not very close to Plymouth!

Honestly, I can't be bothered to list, manage and sent 100+ packages :(
I offered them to a local-ish retro arcade as we planned to drop them as we drove North one day but they never replied and I also listed them on our local pages but none wanted them locally so I'm resigned to taking them to the recycling plant.

I was in the same boat when I got rid of my collection. Ended up just dumping them in our blue recycling bin to save the hassle.

Also, there's no profit in selling them individually on ebay because the postage cost will wipe out any gains. When you look at what you're left with, it isn't worth your physical time.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

I agree completely; it's just not worth the hassle and I'd rather just someone else enjoy reading them but I'll be taking them to the recycling plant this weekend I think.

Mine are sat in plastic boxes in the spare room taking up space but im loath to just chuck them out to be honest.
Ive got every single issue right from the No1 .
Reread tons of them during the lockdown last year which helped the boredom.

If your on Facebook post them on Retro Game Magazines there’s loads of magazine collectors on there who would bite your hand off for them as they want complete sets.
