As much as it pains me to say it, but the Amstrad had the best home conversion. :?

Contemporary? Definitely the Amstrad, the C64 version was awful, the speccy much better.
I may have mentioned it before but there is a near perfect re-make on the MSX2, well worth a look if you have one.

The C64 version probably would have worked well without the fat sprites... so it pains me to say the Speccy is better here.

Spectrum version easily wins here. Not just one of the best arcade conversions but one of the best games on the machine.

This is the bit where I say not the Commodore 16 version. Not the Commodore 16 version.

Sorry, but i enjoyed Bomb Jack on the C.64 or Fat Jack as i call it. That Mark Cooksey music was good also.

I have to agree with your choice. The Amstrad version is the best one of the three versions I have tried. C64, Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum.

Where do the pain come in? You know the C64 can't have the best version of all games

I think the only time I played Bombjack was on an original Xbox. Not sure if that counts for this question- but it was quite addictive
