I don't like the xbox live version of Rainbow Islands. It's a censored disgrace.
I've never known a version ruined so much by such terrible controls.

Rainbow Islands sucks, always has done always will do, same with Bubble Bobble and Parasol Stars. They're all crap!

That's how I see it as well - it's not a bad game really (I like it, girlfriend loves it) it's just bubble bobble is better. It just feels like I'm hammering away at rainbow islands throwing out rainbows until I progress (fire off enough of 'em and you'll get there eventually) whereas in bubble bobble I'm thinking about what I'm doing and it feels a bit more structured.

That might say more about how I play it than the game itself though

Rainbow Islands? Give me a break! That game is probably the worst game to ever hit my Sega Master System!I hope that anyone who likes that game (And sega for that matter) Is sitting in that dark and smelly room with the creators of Deadly Towers.

I have fond memories of playing it as a kid, but upon revisiting it I got bored after the first level. It really doesn't have the lasting charm that Bubble Bobble has. Plus the Rainbow idea is just a lame idea and awkward to pull off as well.
