This week, we take an introductory look at import gaming, which means I get all geeky over a bunch of "new" PC Engine games:

Mario climbed the building and the pop charts; these 80's tunes about Donkey Kong did not.

My apologies, no offense meant! I'm trying hard to keep to a weekly release schedule for these, and mistakenly assumed it was okay to announce each new episode in this thread as it comes out.

If I were you, I'd PM one of the mods to check that announcing your vblogs is ok. While some users may not be too keen, others (like myself) have no problem with it and I think it's a good idea and announcing is something which has been done before.

Here's a video I did on a topic that concerns gamers all 'round the globe.

A fellow YouTuber by the name of TanukiKGA (or just good ol' Johan from Sweden) is putting together a fundraiser plan for the Child Play charity that was set up by Johnny and Tyco (did I say that right?) over at PennyArcade. For those of you who are not familiar with Child Play: the point of this charity is to collect money to buy games/handhelds and the likes for sick children in hospitals. Johan's basically going to collect some gaming stuff, whatever he can find (mostly doubles) and then he's going to raffle them off in a contest where you basically donate an amount of money of your own choosing (either 50p or £50, it's all good) to enter.

I made a video on it, but I got some of the details wrong  , I thought he was just going to be selling the games, made more sense to me but whatever

I spice things up a bit by saying that for every US dollar that Johan and his croneys collect for the charity, I will be playing one minute of not one, but TWO mystery sh!te games. Check out the vid and spread it around. Hopefully you'll do it for the children though, rather than just watching me suffer. I guess the end justifies the means though, so it's all good :p

Always on the look-out for fighting games!
Have any stray ones laying about? Let me know and we'll try to give them a cosy new home.

I'm slowly adding some arcade replays to my youtube account, mainly from the marp site (Mame action replay) ,so you will get to see some of the highest scores achieved ,by some of the best players!Had some problems to start with, mainly with recording their replays using hyper cam and the codecs ,but now i'm using virtual dub ,along with .H264 codec and a couple of filters to try and get a more pleasing look, instead of the normal look that emulators give and are shown on youtube, that vaseline soft focuse crap(that's what i started with but i am slowly re upping and replacing my early vids with better 480p quality ones.

So i think the latest golden axe one has quite a good picture and sound quality.
