It's finally here - the new and fully interactive RG website - finally an online presence worthy of the magazine

I made a thread about it in feedback a while ago (titled 'Forum Gremlins') since nobody really comes into this section. Barely any response.

It keeps happening every day though (as you say) and in fact, happened about 10 minutes ago

Would be nice if somebody on the tech side could reset or fix whatever is causing the issue.

Thank you MPM :)

I keep recalling that awful experiment with the "new" forum and the promise that this place would eventually have to go or be drastically changed due to it being insecure. When the glitches happen here, I just assume that nobody wants to implement proper fixes because they'll be binning the forum in the near future anyway.

Hopefully just a spot of paranoia!

Give all the regulars spam killer (or mod) access - they can still use the forum, it just adds a header saying 'this forum is currently unavailable'. Took me a while to work out what people were complaining about until I realised it didn't happen to me apart from when it completely falls over on the odd rare occasion.

Any news? I realise it's not a world-shattering issue - just curious as to whether you've heard anything. (ironically, the forum was 'unavailable' just now as I tried to sign in).

No news yet. Although it seems extremely rarely happening. Will pm Daz again to see if anyone is looking into it....

Cheers. For the record, I'm noticing it at least once a day (it even happened earlier this morning at my first attempt to get on) though I suppose it will all depend on how frequently one uses the forum on a daily basis...

I'm getting Jamie to get some additional security in next week. Hopefully that will solve things.

Any way of getting the previous look back? This one seems ...loud and less streamlined.
