Tough to choose among Star Wars Arcade 80's, Rogue Leader GCN, and Lego SW ... search your feelings ... okay, Star Wars Arcade just cannot be beat for the impact it had on the 13 year old pumping 50 cents into the sit-down version over and over at the mall! Love that controller too.

I'm glad that there seems to be a Star Wars theme for issue 52 as the sneak preview at the back of issue 51 was rather disappointing. If King of Kong is the most exciting thing in the next mag I'd be very disappointed - especially after such a brilliant 51.

Nah, that wasn't a Star Wars game, it was an icon driven adventure on the Amiga...

The sit down arcade cabinet, I could say it was simply for the amount of 10p pieces I put into it. But I can forget about that because of the fact that the cabinet captured the essence of Star Wars. Surround sound (I didn't call it that at the time), tactile controls (I didn't call it that at the time) and awesome graphics (I did call it that at the time) created a superb Star Wars experience.
Sometimes you need to say what needs saying, most times you just need to shut up and listen.

My favourite Star Wars game is still in my head. It would have the wisdom of Yoda, the charisma of Han Solo, the innocence of Luke and the devilment of Darth Vader, oh and lightsabres, lots of lightsabres!

Time Gate (IIRC) by Quicksilver.

Sure, it wasn't an actual Star Wars game, but the picture on the box had the Millenium Falcon on it, and you shot at what appeared to be Tie Fighters. It was great back in the day, when I was just a young boy...

Rogue Leader for the Cube. I was well chuffed to see the trench run was the first level! Sweet!

Rebel Assault 2. Every time I play the asteroid and flying around inside missions, I STILL dodge and weave on my chair. Now THATS immersion.

3d Starstrike on Spectrum -
In the days when attack by clones rather than official versions where common and the money could be spent on programming rather than obtaining the licence. It was better than official spectrum release, came first and had sound fx too. We used to try and use the force to guess the colour of the exploding deathstar

Best Star Wars Game

My favourite Star Wars games are Jedi Knight on PC, it was the first game I played that did a sword in a FPS well. Oh and of course Night Shift on my C64.

Am I allowed to say Death Star Interceptor on the C64? About as official as a bootlegger's CD collection but still, a jolly good time was had by all.
