Playstation in the Mag

Post by Bub&Bob » Wed Apr 02, 2008 8:37 am

So, with Medieval in the current and GTA featured in the next does this mean the door is now open for lots more Playstation features in the future?

I keep on and on about this but a feature on Driver would be great.

Also a retroinspection would be cool.........

Seeing as many of these games are more than ten years old, I have no problem with it.. it's also interesting to see the origins of a series like GTA.

I can't see why Jumping Flash would be hard to find - it was a standard pack in with most bundles. Its the only reason I ended up with it and I ignored it for a long time after getting it. Only once I'd exhausted all my other games did I give it a proper go, then got hooked. I'd have expected there to be loads of them around.

Jumping Flash 1 & 2 are both pretty hard to find. I've got both of them stashed away along with loads of other PS1 games in my bedroom. Both are great games, although no 2 is fairly similar to no 1.

PlayStation is still my favourite console ever and I'd love to see more of it in future issues - anything at all really. I'd like to see something on Metal Gear Solid - I was writing something myself, but then I couldn't find anyone to interview - lol.

I'd really rather not see PS1 featured in the mag

I'd like to see a feature on the original Playstation as well. Even if it is just to jog our memories on some of the less well remember classics on the system.

I too am in favour of more Playstation features.

It'd be nice to read about the rarer titles as well as the popular franchises.

I'm always on the look out for half decent games I might have missed (and I don't just mean JAP and US releases)!

For me the Playstation signalled the dawn of the New and as such I don't think I could ever consider it to be retro.

Jumpin' Flash is a great game. Been playing it on my PSP and it works a treat :)

The next three issue all feature making ofs a PSone game.

For anyone upset about this, rest assured that they will be never more than six pages in length and will be greatly outgunned by 8 and 16-bit content.

RG will always predominately be an 8/16-bit magazine but that doesn't mean we won't cater for our younger readers.

I like the way people moan about the the Playstation not being "retro" but love the N64 features and don't say word...

The Playstation is old enough to be remembered fondly by real gamers, I have even heard Kids in GS or GAME stating "oh yeah - my Dad/older brother had one of those, it's got rubbish graphics blah blah blah..."

The Playstation is old enough to be in the magazine, I don't think it is "retro" but it has some great games that need covering.
