Minus £1.50 or so postage.

Minus 50p or so ebay fees.

Man's a genius!
Aah yes forgot that bit in my excitement
And now you're wondering what you're going to do with the 15 copies you just bought from WH Smith?

It is at £16 quid now, so doesn't look like a bad investment for an ebay seller!!!!!

Hi, everyone. I've just joined via an e-bay search to see how much my RG v1.0 collection was worth (all issues apart from number 1) and saw the new mag up for auction. There is another on for £3.00 and I bid on it in a sort of 'starved-of-retro-gamer-knee-jerk-reaction' kind of way. I then found the site, signed up for a years subscription and have the largest grin on my face. Thanks guys, you've made a teenager trapped in a middle aged body very happy.

P.S. Will I get issue 19 with my subscription?

I stand corrected. The seller obviously spotted a hole in the market and is now getting a good profit from it.

This does beg the question..... Is this going to mean a few people will buy up every available copy in my local WHSmiths to sell on to the abroadians.?

1/ Is this fair on other collectors.?
2/ Does this mean RG is not being sold abroad.?

Regards

RIK

Seeing as it's been about £2.40 AU to £1 for ages now, you were obviously getting something of a bargain in the past—even not taking into account shipping prices, the "value" of the old RG was about $14.40 AU...
Well $12.95 is what we paid :) but the price doesn't bother me. I don't care if I end up paying that without a CD. What I'm saying is that the now $37.72 that it's going for on Ebay is very rich indeed. Still, this is from someone who is sitting on 2 spare copies of RG issue 1 to get as much as he can from them......

The thing is that in the Australian thread no one seems to know if we are getting a distributor here for the new RG yet. I'm trying to get some people I know over there to send me a copy, but I'm not paying nearly $50 for it, as I'm sure you can understand.

Oh, totally. I'd say that $50AU is probably about three times what you should be paying for the mag, and you'd have to be a bit of a nut to splash out that much cash.

[quote="CraigGrannell"]I bet some muppet in the UK buys it for about £7, despite copies being available in the shops. It's shocking what some people will buy on eBay and who much they'll pay.

the bids.. now on £16.06 SHOCKING behaviour...

16 quid!

I've just bought mine from the Union shop for £4.99. It was the last copy, like, but still...who in their right mind is bidding on this?

Well I have my copy on the way from a friend who lives in the UK. Just hope we get a distributor here so I don't have to hassle the poor guy every month :)

I'd guess you'll start at 20, not nineteen. Although don't hold me to it.
