Let's face it: Retro Shamer is fun... But for retrogamers, the comeback of the 'Why you should play...'-item instead would be a much more interesting two-page filler!

i agree...i would rather peeps give me advise on what to play than telling me what not to play!

agreed. Watching the RG guys lambast a game is good fun, but better to be told what's good, than not. (if that makes any sense?

I like both, but I must admit, with limited time on my hands these days it's nice to be given ideas of things to play.
Could it alternate every month?

There's only one way to find out.... FIGHT!
Seriously, folks, both articles are fine. And it's nice to have the balance - one writer telling you why you SHOULD play something, one writer saying why you SHOULD NEVER GO NEAR A GAME for fear of lunacy...

I like Retro Shamer the most.

Essentially, we do kind of cover 'why you should play' through the Classic Game, Eastern Promise and Top 25 articles. This is why the Retro Shamers, we feel, add a little more variety to the mag, because they tell you what not to play.
I doubt we'll remove Retro Shamer. Overall, it seems to be well-liked, and as we're now asking everyone to nominate and vote on the chosen game, we really want to see how this new approach to the feature pans out.
If i'm honest, we'd be more likely to mix-and-match the features each issue - as a few have suggested. But i'm not saying you'll never see Why You Should Plays appearing in the mag again.

Why not have both then?
They are both different types of article, cant see why it should be one or the other!?

It's a bit daft to directly compare them anyway, the WYMP articles are 4 page plus in-depth features, the Retro Shamers are light-hearted 2 pagers.
I do miss the WYMP's though.

Personally, I like both articles.
However I've really started enjoying the Retro Shamer articles, it brings a massive smile to my face, which then turns into laughter after I realise how poop the game that is featured really is.

I like both, but since I have to pick one, it'll have to be "Why you should play...".

Do you know what I can see happening? Same games appearing in both features. Or at least different versions of the same game.
