From the forum question for issue 49

Post by Darran@Retro Gamer » Mon Feb 11, 2008 1:23 pm

Bit early this issue as I'm on holiday (hooray) next week.

Anyway, the question I have for you is
What videogame would you like see turned into a movie?

That's a great question and one that's dead easy to answer:

Panzer Dragoon.

The computer imagery of today could make an epic of, well, epic proportions.
Thoughts and prayers.

Mikie by Konami - It would be perfect to appeal to the 'High School Musical' demographic! :)

I would love to see Sierra's Phantasmagoria being made into a decent horror movie. With the likes of Saw, Hostel, 28 Days Later etc doing the rounds at the moment it could prove quite popular.

Final Fantasy VII. None of this Spirits Within or Advent Children nonsense, just tell the FFVII story in film.

Two films, the first and its sequel.
Attack of the Mutant Camels - A dire warning about messing with camel DNA.
Revenge of the Mutant Camels - A celebration about messing with camel DNA.

Paradroid. With a bit of role-reversal - Paradoid being the evil invader, wiping out all the good 'bots - and the film being viewed from the invader's perspective. Plot, as with most all-action movies, being secondary or none-existent. Just how the Dalek droid would fit in as a goodie, though...!

Actually, make it a Feature-length Dr Who with The Doctor and some Time Lord wizardry allowing for 'droid takeover! That way, the Daleks remain the evil ones on yet another mission to wipe-out all other sentient races. I can think of a storyline, too, but I'll keep that to myself.

Come on all you Whovians, the clamour for Dr Who: Paradoid starts here! I know The Master will be up for it!

Probably Dungeon Master, possibly Syndicate, Definitely Shadowrun (snes).

Or for something slightly more modern, Bioshock might be nice.

Lords of Midnight
Doomdarks Revenge
Bards Tale
Ultima V - (or any other roman numeral)

The above list are the first four in my head, the fact they are all rpg related is pure coincidence.

That's just silly. You'd be in the middle of an important character development scene and the main character would be cut off mid sentence to fight a random battle.
