IIRC the first anthology (with the excellent article on Elite) was advertised in RG so I was aware of it. Have there been any other Anthologies apart form this latest one? Got every RG issue since No.2 so would like to keep the collection as complete as possible - although I'm never likely to get hold of issue 1!

Cheers,

Andy
Thanks for coming on the forum Bolda, hopefully you'll carry on posting :)

Any future anthologies or special (retro Gamer or GamesTM) will be fully advertised in the future.

I loved this, it was like getting two issues of RG in one month. I stumbled across it by accident in a tiny newsagents in Rhayader, which was weird. I had to giggle at the "Whatever happend to" typo, though ;)

My local tesco still has the old Elite series issue.

Ah well it'll turn up somewhere.

question:

what's the point of the outer card sleeve? all it does is kill more trees and not fit in the box that I put all the other issues in... :(

The whole of the Imagine Gaming Series comes in these sleeves. The anthology was just following suit.

I'm sure it's recycled paper. :)

Perhaps it's the new style binder that people have been asking for?

Any chance the Retro Gaming Anthology will make it to the US?

I'm a 29 year old gamer from the US and just found out about Retro Gamer. I've started with issue 20 and I've now become a subscriber. Its a great mag, I really wish someone in the US would release a similar magazine.

I would love to get my hands on the Retro gaming Anthology so I can catch up on what I missed. Is there any chance Barnes N Noble will be importing it to the US or is can I order it online somewhere and have it shipped to the US? I'm also trying to get a hold of issue 19. Let me know.

Thanks,
Joe

It'll probably happen in a couple of months, won't it? :?

Mr Pointless has a point :)
Most of the issues seem to be a month or two behind, so it's quite possible the anthology will appear later.

I'm waiting on a reply from your subs department, trying to find out if I'll get new issues any quicker by subscribing (I'm in Canada) - as you point out, North America and Australia [AKA - the rest of the world] seems to be about 2 months behind - which is nonsense - Vancouver (Canada) is actually only 8 HOURS behind! ;)

I suspect it won't make much difference (speed-wise), and price-wise I reckon there'll be little difference in me getting my ol' mom to grab me a copy and air-mail it to me!

In fact, the BEST solution might be to get a subscription delivered to my mom, and have her post it out when it arrives. That way I should only be a week behind the UK, and STILL be paying no more than the international subscription rate!

Hah - I'm a fekkin genius!

(There must be a catch somewhere...)

WTF!? The 80's are GONE!? And they're never coming BACK!?

Yeah, Smith's seems to be run by total mongs that can't use a bloody Game Boy, let alone a Windows PC.
