There's a scan of the cover on page two of this thread. But here it is again, just for you.

I'm a bit disappointed that as an RG subscriber and board member here that I didn't get an email or letter or anything telling me this was coming out. I stumbled into it by accident in GameStation an hour ago, having missed this thread.

I wouldn't mind so much if it was just a compilation of old articles, but they've had a revamp and there are several new ones to read (which is the main thing imho).

Well I got hold of a copy this weekend and I was impressed.

Yeah, some of the articles have been in the previous mags, but for me, it was nice to look back at some of them which I forgot about (like the MegaTree article).

It's good to see some new articles in there too. I thought the Super Mario on the CDi article was interesting, I always wanted to get a CDi and kind of did apart from the fact when I bought one from Dixons (managers special) it didn't work :-|

Still I think it's a welcome addition to my collection of Retro Gamer magazines. Now if the earlier issues were re-printed.... that would make my day.

I agree-it could at least have been mentioned/advertised in RG?

I suppose we could have advertised it, but we wanted it to be a surprise :)

Well it certainly was!

If I didn't read about it on the forums, I would have possibly missed it.

P.s. Is the Anthology to be a regular addition? It would be great to have one every 6 months,amending/correcting any anomalies or adding
extra comments from the forum

It would be nice to see another issue in a year or so.

Well, seeing as the first one was issues 1-24, how about the second one being issues 25-48? Makes sense to me!

That makes sense. What issue is GamesTM on at the moment?

Sounds good. Only 7 more months to wait. Just dont keep it a big secret this time ! :D

Just got a Retro Gamer Anthology off ebay with a buy it now, wasnt overpriced by much actually (5.99 + 1.50 postage) . Paid a bit more but the nearest town which would have any chance of stocking it is a bit of a way away and its less hassle getting it this way. Looking forward to seeing it.

Roll on 7 months time and Issue 2 of the GamesTM retro anthology !!!

Didn't know about the latest Anthology until I just saw this thread! As a subscriber, I would have missed this as I rarely go to WHS or any other newsagents... just Sainsbury's which doesn't stock RG.

IIRC the first anthology (with the excellent article on Elite) was advertised in RG so I was aware of it. Have there been any other Anthologies apart form this latest one? Got every RG issue since No.2 so would like to keep the collection as complete as possible - although I'm never likely to get hold of issue 1!

Cheers,

Andy
