Another excellent issue - loved the Alex Kidd feature, really enjoyed the Settlers piece and the Chris Cannon interview.

The Black Tiger piece was my favourite. And the Chris Cannon interview was brilliant.
Thoughts and prayers.

Good issue for me. The Bug byte interview was good and the rebel assault one brought back memories

Is it still the reduced page count?

That Chris Cannon interview is superb. Also enjoyed the 3d Monster Maze, BBC Minority report and Rebel Assult articles.

Read through the mag in its entirety until the Settlers article. A great read so far. I loved the Alex Kidd retrospective and the Alex Kidd remake articles in particular. And the two regular colomns are GOLD as always. As is the retrospective on gaming in month X year Y, which I always look forward to. If I might add a wish, I love it when some articles have a little box about what the devs do now. You could, for me at least, add that to more articles in the future. :D

Noticed some amusing (unintentional?) vulgarity when I set my copy of the mag down upside-down. Check out the legs on the pink dragon thing at the top-left.

The advert on page 11? Do the adverts get placed randomly by Future?

Thanks for the kind words about the Chris Cannon piece (you too, Merman, Rossi46 and psj3809) - he was fun to talk to and I think that came across on the page. Next month I have someone just as honest and more foul mouthed. Enjoy!

Mine finally arrived today in Ireland. Still no sign of my back issues held due to Covid though. Any update on these?

I got an email today about the held copies of my Edge subscription (funnily enough the first time ever, never had a message in the regard the last few months) saying that they're beginning the send them out throught August.

So I assume the same might be true for Retro Gamer (about which I never got a message that regular deliverty was starting up again), but who knows anymore with Future.

As for 209, no sign of it in Germany, but it hasn't even been 3 weeks yet, so sadly no surprise there...

Well that's good to hear. Hopefully they send them soon. I haven't read 208 or 209 as I'd rather wait until my back issues arrive and then I will have plenty to read to keep me busy.
