Indeed, I feel Matthew Smith and Manic Miner has been done to death now. But I love Mario, and welcome more if there is something new to it.
While Manic Miner has been done to death on Retro Gamer, Mario has been done to death everywhere. Videogame's history has been rewritten though the American perspective, and most kids nowadays looking at youtube videos probably think that everyone was playing mario and zelda in the late 80s and early 90s.

Which I would say means covering Mario from our perspective is no bad thing.

Not too fond of the Mario piece. Has been done to death and adds nothing new.

Spectrum Next is kewl even if I never touched a real Spectrum. Strike article seems to repeat a previous Dessert Strike article. Still a nice read. Pinball Tilt good company history read. Tectoy interview is great and feels honest. Overall an average issue. Not great, not bad.
