I love Matt Smith, Manic Miner & Jet Set Willy, but damn the article in this issue is a tough read. It really sounds like dragging this stuff up for his to talk about is detrimental to his mental health! I guess though it's tricky to capture the full extend of whether he was joking or not about certain thing in just words.

That was issue 19psj3809 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 7:03 amJust been away but come back and nice to see the issue delivered.
Firstly congrats to the team, in this day and age to reach issue 200 in a niche market is very impressive. Had a flick through quickly, looks good to me, nice huge timetable of the different eras. Perhaps there is one or two bits which have been in before but i'm fine with that.
Still cant believe its issue 200. Seems like yesterday i was at a retro show in Stafford and Merman showing me the new revamped Retro Gamer (issue 18 i think ?)
Congrats

200 issues is a simply incredible achievement. Looking back at my favourite gaming mags of the past, they were lucky is they made it past 50. I've started to read through this lunchtime - thank you to the team, and well done.

Congratulations Darran and team, still going strong and still keeping that old school magazine flame alive where all else have failed. This magazine has been with me for longer than my two broken marriages, and costs way cheaper than they did as well

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
While I am waiting for this issue to appear on site, yes, I want to congratulate the team for 200 issues, and thank you all for a consistently great publication still going strong. From the issues to the Bookazine compilations, they always provide an excellent read for this industry we all have a passion for. So great in this age where magazines are fewer, to still have such a niche publication, clearly written by fans, for fans. Thank you.
Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
After issue 18 i thought 'well it was nice while it lasted' but then as if by magic 19 showed up and here we are 182 issues later.
Well done to all on the RG team here's to the next 200!

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
Just to add 200 is beautifully produced and edited, really love the different coloured border that adds a touch of ZX Speccy ish to it.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
Looking forward to this.
Good work on getting to issue 200. I might not have always agreed with your direction, but it's a great achievement and well deserved. Can't wait for issue 300... although I'll be nearly a pensioner by then, so hopefully it won't come round too quickly.

Picked this up today, just had a flick through and looks right up my street. Well done on reaching 200 issues, quite an achievement in this day and age.
Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
Can anyone remind me what issues the other two CDs came with so that I can ensure they are in the right place? I ripped them so I could listen and now they are hanging around my office.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
Its now up on my favourite magazines for non subscribers that want to buy without scouring shops for it.
Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
Perfect, thank you - they are now in the right place for when I rip these.
If anyone wants scans of the front and back of the sleeves, let me know - you'll need to rip your own CDs though

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
Wow, it seems like only yesterday that I discovered issue one through a friend and had to get the first couple of issues on eBay. 200 issues and 15 years ago and the current machines where the PlayStation 2, Game Cube and Microsoft Xbox. And now those consoles, to some are now retro. I'm getting old! Half way through issue 200 and loving it.
Atari 800XL thrashes the C64 every time!!!

These reasons why you don’t like this issue are the same reasons why I think this the best issue (for me) in years! It contains nice big chunk of warm, fuzzy pre-Playstation era content. It is like reading RG of old. So far, I am really enjoying (most of) it!RichL wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 1:10 amNo, why don’t you tell me.
Also, everything that’s in this issue you’ve read about before so I don’t need to read it.
Space War - already an article. Mario 64 - already been an article. PlayStation already been an article. The CD add-on for the SNES, already been an article. Nintendo - already been an article and so on.
Great cover too! Well done!
