Retro Gamer - Issue 200
Just received issue 200 in the post.
Firstly, congratulations to the team past and present for getting to this point.
Secondly, sorry, dont like it at all - just seems to be a bunch of regurgitated articles from Retro Gamer past. If this is all new material, fair do's, my very brief (I admit) flick looks like aricles and pictures that I've seen several times before. For that reason, I'm out - I read in the editorial that readers have been asking for this for some time so hopefully they can fill their boots here.
See you in issue 201.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
What's actually in it then?
Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
History of games from the 1970s onwards broken down into decades.
But it just looks like (to me) when you get one of their bookazines and it’s just all the previously published articles.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
Actually, having just flicked through the issue, this is going to be the first issue in a very long time where I read it from cover to cover! It looks absolutely bloody awesome. Well done Daz & team

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
The fact that we’ve read it all before in previous mags has nothing to do with nothing could ever please me.
Nintendo again? Really. Mario 64 again? Rise of PlayStation again? Space War again? etc, etc.
I could go back through all my previous issues and read about exactly the same things, its like buying a greatest hits CD of your favourite band when you already have all of their albums - it's a different cover and running order but exactly the same songs.

If anyone posts on here that they don’t like the cover, then frankly I give up on Retro Gaming fans. It’s fantastic.

Sounds fantastic, looking forward to it
Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
Interesting that you haven't bothered to read it and are criticising it. Ever heard of how useful farting in the wind is?
Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
No, why don’t you tell me.
Also, everything that’s in this issue you’ve read about before so I don’t need to read it.
Space War - already an article. Mario 64 - already been an article. PlayStation already been an article. The CD add-on for the SNES, already been an article. Nintendo - already been an article and so on.
Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
Just waiting for it to pop into my favourite magazines site to pick up, hasn't appeared yet, but will in the next day or two when it does
Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 200
Just been away but come back and nice to see the issue delivered.
Firstly congrats to the team, in this day and age to reach issue 200 in a niche market is very impressive. Had a flick through quickly, looks good to me, nice huge timetable of the different eras. Perhaps there is one or two bits which have been in before but i'm fine with that.
Still cant believe its issue 200. Seems like yesterday i was at a retro show in Stafford and Merman showing me the new revamped Retro Gamer (issue 18 i think ?)
Congrats
