Fair is fair - I've been in two minds about many issues lately, but this one pushed my retro button all the way down. Cheers!

On a major catch up of issues on a rare lazy Sunday afternoon.

I really enjoyed this issue, Spiderman, Amiga Power & Konami articles are all great.

However, I've just read the Nintendo DS "Hardware Heaven" & it's bugged me so much I am disproportionately incandescent with rage!

"around the turn of the millennium as the explosive rise of mobile gaming transformed portable gaming"

"Mobile games were simple, cheap & accessible with basic touchscreen interfaces"

"So in 2005 Nintendo returned fire"

The Android platform didn't launch until 2007, the 1st gen of iPhone didn't launch until 2007. Even the Symbian Nokias only came to prominence in about 2003, and they did NOT have touch screens until 2009!

So where was this explosive rise in mobile gaming with touchscreens at the turn of the millennium Nintendo was supposed to be reacting to? At the turn of the millennium, if you had a mobile phone at all, you were considered very lucky if you had a Nokia with snake on it!

Phew. Just needed to get that off my chest.
