What's your favourite burnout game and why?

Burnout 3, purely because of the introduction of Takedowns. The Road Rage mode often helped me de-stress after a rubbish day at work. Pity they ruined the Crash Junctions by adding power-ups (and downs)

Jeez, it's quiet in here, doesn't anyone else like the Burnout series?

again yes BURNOUT3 was incredibly enjoyable, and really liked the demos of the next couple too
the mix of actual racing and barmy crash course was a nice combo .....
i was more of a M****S**** fan
the last time i was invested in crashing my car was INDY 500 on the pc .....

Burnout 3 - first game I had on the original Xbox, played it till I completed 100%. So much fun, especially the Takedowns and Crash Junctions.

Burnout 2 I think was the first I played, and in that regard was my favourite. The crash effects looked so cool, it took the Destruction derby and upped it. I do like Paradise as well with the open world style thing going on, but 2 was my first go into the franchise so I remember that one particularly fondly.

Either Burnout 3 for the "pure" Burnout experience, or Burnout Paradise for sheer, unaldulterated open world racing fun.

Burnout 3 is the pinnacle of the series for me, Burnout 4 is more of the same and I don't like the open world style of Paradise.

Burnout 2, took what was great about the original and made it better, and added the magic of crash junctions. 3 just seemed a bit of a step backwards in the requirement to actually drive accurately (and not wallride constantly) and the one after that was horrendous imo.

Re: From The Forum: 194
Burnout 3 was my introduction to the series and I loved it - Think I had an official addiction to it at one point haha.
Recently started Burnout 2. Not far in to it at all, but Im enjoying it. Too early to say which I think is better, but both are enjoyable in their own right.
As for Burnout Paradise, for me, that game is in a league of its own. It cant legitimately be compared to the rest because the style is so different. I still play it now and love it. My 5 year old son loves it too

Burnout 3 and Revenge are definitely the best. Was really opposed to Burnout Paradise when it launched. I tried it but was not amused. Only when it was given away with PS Plus subscription I cared to give the game a second chance and... it was great! Maybe the first time it was something that went against my expectations from the series but when 2 more years have passed - I could finally move on and accept Paradise for what it is.
