Retro Gamer issue 186

Post by psj3809 » Wed Oct 03, 2018 10:23 am

Its that time again !

Nice subscriber cover - Fallout

History of Fallout
Making of Stormlord
Licence to Thrill - Neverending Story
Making of Skydiver
Ultimate guide - 1943
WJS Design
Making of Krustys Funhouse
Art of the 16 bit loading screen
Ultimate guide to Neo Drift out
Team 17
Inside demo 1
David Mullich
Collectors Corner - Paul Monaghan !

Not the best issue for me personally this month, however often i'm surprised by a few articles i wouldnt normally look at. Next month looks good - gameboy colour, 40 years of SNK, Speccy +3 and more

Worst subs cover yet imo.

Some good content though.

I just want to say, that's the second time we've used the photo of Simon Phipps and I feel mean that the credit has been missed off each time.

So I would like to say a public thank you to Simon's daughter Molly who took the picture.

Its also nicely timed with the SNK compilation coming out for the Switch (and others I think) in October - which is a day one purchase for me.

Team 17 100 games - Arcade Snooker is not listed. This was a magazine cover disc full game. Are there more Team 17 games that did not qualify similarly to Arcade Snooker?

Must have been a good issue as I finished it rather quickly!

And I see the letters page had someone that might agree with me on viewtopic.php?f=1&t=55256&p=1099801#p1099801

The list of games actually comes from Team 17. It's possible that it only focuses on games that were released for sale.
