Word search or crossword

Post by greenberet79 » Tue May 15, 2018 8:34 am

Dear Sirs - I would very much like to see a puzzle of some kind in future magazines. Obviously with a gaming theme. A cross word would be ideal. A simple wordsearch would equally suffice.

Regards

Mr Beret.

A crossword is a great idea, and an easy page filler for the team to put together. Can't say I'd spend time on a word search though.

I only say it because I'm currently lying on a sun lounger in Tenerife and my two RG mags are finished and I've had to resort to doing the puzzles in my wife's Take a Break and Bella magazines

Put scrawlings in my collectors edition? No thanks, in fact more of a waste of space I'm afraid. Can't we have back the old ad reprints we used to get?

This is an excellent idea. Also, reader's problems, Sudoku and maybe a dot-to-dot.

This is what the office photocopier is for!

The old ads were good, but I suspect copyright issues prevent reprinting them willy nilly. It's not been a thing since the old fanzine style days of RG, now it's all corporate.

I would enjoy a page of various puzzles.
What about a 'spot the difference', comparing two screenshot with slight variations (e.g. sprites missing or different). The 'screenshots' can also be not real screenshots, but just made up for the game.
Also, 'spot the intruder', where among a crowd of a certain game's characters, you have to locate the one from a different game.
I'd find riddles fun as well.

Cheers
