WOW, I haven't been here in months, so I'm glad to see the Future s**t show is alive and well, and growing by the day. I came by just to see what was going on with the delayed US issues, and I see no one has received the return to subscriber services issue correct(#209)? And no one has seen #206, 207 or 208 either correct? All 4 of those issues are coming by the new "sea" method, so no way we see those in a timely manner. Is #210 going back to airmail, or will all issues going forward be coming by this new method? All I ever got was temporary digital versions of these un-shipped issues, but I thought they were supposed to be owned digital copies for the delays? I never bothered to look in to this?
My subscription is 1-2 issues from ending, and I just can't justify the money to renew, as trying to get issues you've paid for seems like a second job at this point(without pay). So the new method can add 2-4 weeks to the normal deliver time, so would it be safe to contact Future at about 40-45 days(from shipping) in regards to getting a replacement sent for these to be considered missing? During normal times, you could request a replacement at 10-14 days I believe if your copy hadn't arrived yet, but I would always give it a little extra time and more often than not, issues would always arrive. I see no point waiting now, as that just means the issues you may need end up being sold out(#206 seems OOS), before hand, and that's what I'm trying to avoid.
And last, but not least, does anyone know if retail shipments ever resumed to the US, places like Barnes & Noble? I'm happy to go back there and pay the higher price, so long as they have returned to getting issues. Otherwise I'll have to try and find a reliable source through Ebay or something, as no way I can renew my sub with all this going on. Future seems like one of those shady companies that would run a crazy renewal deal, get tons of new subs, and then skip town in the middle of the night while no one is watching. I've just read through several pages in this thread to get caught up on what's been happening(over the last few months), and business does not seem good, and when service is this bad, when everyone should be working from home, tells me they are having major service issues across the board. 1 week is the fastest I've ever gotten replies in the past, and that seems wishful thinking currently?
And service "SUCKED" before this all happened, and now, it seems like they have no clue. Sending anything by "sea" is 1 month at least, and about 2-3 at worse in the good times, and by them choosing this option, says they can't afford to send these by a normal air option. Instead of sending each issue as we all paid for in the past, they decided since they have 2-3 issues to send each person, they would opt for a deal on bulk shipping, so now they appear to be coming by "slow boat". So I'll be putting in for replacements to all these issues as soon as time will allow, as I do think they will arrive eventually, but that could be 4-6 months from now.
