Minority Report/Fortress: You what? I think someone pulled a fast one to see if there is done any quality control. Words will be had?
Re: Retro Gamer 175
Ah, not just me noticing then, spotted when going through the issue, was that Ash&Dave had done Hot Rod for Activision. As Battle of the Ports on YT notes, quite a few arcades only ended up being converted to home computers, not consoles, which is why some people don't realise they are out there.

Perhaps after all it doesn't help to increase the sales figures for the mag?

Enjoyed the Crash Team Racing feature. One of my most played games ever.
No mention of the sequel on the PSP though - I could never get into it, I didn't like the platform bits you had to negotiate before you could do the racing.

Does the calendar have enough space to write stuff in for each day?
None of the games on the cover interest me, and I was a bit put off by the price increase, but I might buy it for the calendar!

Re: Retro Gamer 175
Each day has a 37x23mm box, so I guess that depends on how big your writing is.

Amiga music: Strictly speaking, PAULA has 65 volume levels. You can argue semantics if you like, but there are 65 programmable settings. (No, I didn't say it makes sense, as such.)
Re: Retro Gamer 175
I miss the Xmas cover too, it’s odd that they don’t sell. Having said that Retro Gamer is one of the few magazines where the cover is a selling point to me. It might sound narrow minded but psychologically I’m far more likely to buy it if the focus is a franchise I enjoy compared to if it’s one that I don’t, even if the text on the cover suggests there is something inside that I’d like.Darran@Retro Gamer wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2017 4:29 pmThe price change is because it's a premium issue due to the inclusion of the calendar, just like the Super Play issue was a premium issue and cost a pound extra.
It will return to £4.99 with the next issue.
You won't notice it if you're a subscriber.
It's highly unlikely we'll ever do a Christmas cover in the future as they don't tend to sell. You never know though, we may do one in the future. I like to get them as close to Christmas as possible, and that just hasn't happened lately.
I can’t really justify that silly logic, but it definitely affects my thinking.
