Issue 163 arrived a few days ago - and no thread yet!
Anyway...
If you like Tomb Raider then you are in for a treat!
Also:
Diablo, Cabal, SG-1000, Area 51, Satoru Okada, Destruction Derby 2, Blitz Games, 20 games that pushed the limits, 2600 and lots and lots of Tomb Raider.
Not had a chance to read it yet - but I've never been a fan of Tomb Raider... maybe this mag will draw me into it?!
Happy New Year everyone!
EDIT: Here is the cover...

The Cabal article looks good. I played that game lots in the arcade back in the day.
Ken sent me.

Brilliant interview with Satoru Okada, great Making Ofs and I learnt a lot from the SG1000 hardware piece.

The Diablo article was very good but not a lot else of interest for me in the mag. Never did like Tomb Raider.

Happy new year!
Must pop into the online store and check it out, there's a lot to like about this months for me. Always been a Tomb Raider fan, and the SG-1000 is a system a have a real fondness for. 'Games that pushed the limits' feature sounds really interesting

What is up with distribution for #163? My local newsagent has copies since probably Saturday while I still have nothing in my mailbox.

Can't wait to get back from summer holidays and get into this - the SG-1000 article in particular, have been hanging out for this to be in the mag.

Dodgy printing in some of the last pages of mine - the colours are mis-aligned on maybe 8 pages towards the back.

Mine had some bad printing on a few pages, too. It doesn't normally happen.

Did you get it on the last page (
Cho Aniki endgame), and the right-hand half of the
Mercenary spread?
It's not on consecutive pages. I'm guessing they print four pages per side onto oversized sheets, which they fold in half, add to a booklet, bind a pile of booklets to make one magazine, then slice off the folds and edges so it looks neat. So then one badly printed sheet ends up affecting a handful of pages spaced a few apart.
