I bought Tomb Raider 3 because it had a London level.

Played it, got quite far into the initial jungle level. Stopped. Loaded it up the next day. Couldn't figure out where I was or what I was meant to do. Sacked off the series forever.

I remember running around Lara's mention quite a bit in Tomb Raider 2. Other than that, I feel the series has got stale.

Here goes...

Never played a TR game.

Ever.

Does that make me a bad person?

No. Just too late.

Tomb Raider is sooo overrated. Yes, it is a pop culture phenomenon, but I think if you have not grown up playing one of the original games in the Nineties, from an objective point-of-view the series is just so-so.

My PCs were always underpowered to run a Tomb Raider game. So the first one I had ever played was Tomb Raider Anniversary which is a remake of the original one. I bought it at a bargain sale in 2008 but think still paid too much for it. I was less than thrilled by the gameplay: stubborn controls, linear gameplay and scripted events.
I have given the game away for charity and avoid the series since.
