My best memory of the Gamecube was playing Windwaker sitting cross-legged on the floor while my 2 year old son stood on my leg, leaning on me and watching me play.

People made the excuse of dismissing it because it looked like a little toy, in reality it was a little powerhouse and was a superb system.

I had no interest in the Gamecube until Resident Evil 4 came out and then I had to have one. Completed the game multiple times. Never fired up the Gamecube again.

The one and only console i have bought on launch day.
Got well over 40 titles for it. It was a great console with a varied library!

Nintendos last great console with true mass market appeal. The Last Nintendo console I truly enjoyed.

Donkey Konga. That game was awesome party fun, and my sister dreamt about it after playing it over ours one night, and ended up having to buy one :)

It was an intriguing machine but lost ut as it did not have the extras such as DVD player etc that its rivals earned. It seemed to "just" be a console, which in the post-Dreamcast/Playstation era, seemed awfully quaint.

We've had to push it back I'm afraid due to not getting the interview content we were originally planning. It's going to be in issue 161 most likely and will focus more on the games it continues to inspire (similar to the F-Zero and Street Fighter II features we did). Don't worry it's definitely happening.

I think I used the machine mostly to play Final Fantasy Tactics Advance through the GBA player

Loved the machine for it's exclusives too though. Eternal Darkness, Super Mario Sunshine, F-Zero GX, Smash Bros Melee

Spent hundreds of hours split screening Phantasy Star Online too. Still revisit that gem all the time

For me it was all about the Resident Evil exclusives on the console!

I bought a Gamecube specifically to play RE:remaster, 0 and of course the sublime 4 when it finally arrived!

Throw into the mix Mario Sunshine, Star Wars:Rogue Squadron, The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Windwaker, Burnout 2, Metroid Prime, Killer 7, F-Zero GX and, many, many more superb games, you have the finest console of its generation, in my opinion!

Definitely my favourite console from the 2000s - I was sold on 'Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II' but I stayed for the wonderful first party titles like the Mario, Zelda, Pikmin and Metroid games.

Had at launch, loved it, then generally I dropped out of gaming for a long time. Then a few years later (circa 2008), found it in one of my brother's moving boxes and it sparked my gaming resurgence. I got home early from work one day, set it up, had a blast of F-Zero and never looked back. I've still got my original system and a small but perfectly formed collection of games, a Wavebird, a couple of other controllers, and the GameBoy Player.

I think I have Rogue Leader, Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Double Dash, RE 0, RE 4, Metroids 1&2, Wind Waker, F Zero, Freedom Fighters, Time splitters, a 007 game (I forget which!), NHL 2006, Viewtiful Joe.

Also, the Wavebird is the greatest games controller ever made!

Would the Cube have been a bigger success if it would have had the likes of Vice City?
