Smurph wrote:I personally don't see how people can vote for Final Fight over Streets of Rage 2. It just has far more going for it, better moves, more characters, far better music, the list goes on. Final Fight only wins in one area for me: its got a Ninja in it. But then, he's a crap ninja, so it doesn't matter.
IMHO.
Final Fight also has SODOM and Edie E!
And don't you forget it!

STOP THE VOTING! NOW!!!
Dude! WTF!? Where's Double Dragon?! Have we not met?
I WANT DOUBLE DRAGON! WAHHHHH!!!!!
Yes, my real name is Spanner and I've already heard that joke you just thought of. On the plus side, a name like this also comes with built in chat up lines, so at least the chicks dig it...

All of them are just as good as each other, so it is a very difficult choice to choose one of them.

would have said Double Dragon, but out those I went for Kung Fu Master for pure nostalgia. Spent many a 10p on that back in the day.

Madge wrote:I played through the original SoR not so long ago and have to say I don't think it has stood the test of time as well as the titles listed here. It's too easy to kill enemies using cheesy "punch-punch-pause-punch" infinite combos.
The soundtrack is still brilliant though.
Madge! Don't say that to me!
I guess I'm the only one who thought SoR 2 didn't add a lot to SoR (and the new characters were rubbish!)

Don't get me wrong. I spent countless hours of my childhood playing through SOR1's two-player mode and at the time I thought it was the best thing ever. It's just that the genre moved on since. However I still prefer the original to SOR3.
Why retro? Because you never forget your first love.

Normally I'd have gone for Final Fight, but there's one in there that beats it by a only little bit - Golden Axe. So my vote has gone to Golden Axe
I tend to play Final Fight & Golden Axe alot!

No contest for me. I voted for the mighty Golden Axe.
Thoughts and prayers.

It's definitely Final Fight for me. The Streets of Rage series was superb too.
