In so much as I rescued Esmerelda, it would have been Hunchback on the Oric 1. It loops and gets a bit harder each time, but I was able to get to at least the 3rd 'end'.
Next up would be Defence Force, also on the Oric. Played that until it crashed, it simply couldn't cope with my 1337 5K1LLZ

I was 8 or 9 years old when father bought an Acetronic console. Although it had no 'proper' ending I managed to blitz Space Invaders, freezing the game at a maximum score of 9999.
If there must be a 'real' ending it would be Outrun in the arcade with an unofficial score of approximately 42.5million.

I remember buying Atom Ant on the speccy, taking it home and completing it first try, back to the shop as soon as possible.
Wasn't the first game i'd completed but most annoyingly memorable.

Well, on the skills side of things i never actually completed Psycastria on the C64 but i did manage to knock over it's automatic fire joystick protection without an autofire a few times. =-)Antiriad2097 wrote:Next up would be Defence Force, also on the Oric. Commando on the c64, except it just keeps looping, so it doesn't really count.
The first game with an actual ending I remember completing was IO on the c64. I remember it clearly because I could hardly believe I'd finally done it!
edit: Or maybe I finished The Last Ninja before IO. Memory... fading...

I don't think I ever properly finished anything until Action Fighter for the Master System. Which of course had a crap ending.

Cool, how did it end as I loved that game.C16 wrote:It was Exorcist on the Commodore Plus 4, that thumping theme tune still sounds amazing.
Technically my first proper game completed was Treasure Island on the Plus/4 but to give myself a chance to get in the mag.... (ahem!)...
My first game I completed was Manic Miner, a nice little touch of a fish and knive shown on the door to what you think would be the next level is actually his cue to get some din dins!
