Yes. Not only are most of my consoles imported as well, but many games were either not released in Europe, or inferior due to no optimisation.

Mostly no. I prefer to experience my games as I did/would have at the time, but there has been the odd title unreleased here I've picked up.

It helps that my main interest is 8 bit computers.

Yes. Often they are cheaper than PAL versions, have more attractive packaging and are in much better condition than most of the shabby used PAL titles. The PS1 and PS2 in particular have so many amazing games that weren't released over here that you're only experiencing a portion of the range by limiting yourself to PAL.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

Well I bought the awesome Warlords game Medieval Mayhem from Atariage, does that count?

I did have a Japanese Megadrive back in the day & always thought their covers looked more interesting.

On occasion, and if unavailable locally

If a game/console is cheaper to import than buy here I will import it instead

Only ones I've ever bought have been for the Cube for the USA/Japan exclusives. Before that I always bought PAL as that was what I grew up with.

I have recently been vaguely thinking about looking at SNES games due to prices and box art.

My first real experience of imports wasnt until i was working and bought a gamecube on release. I got one or two games that needed the freeloader disk. Anything older then that i only played non-pal games via emulator so they dont have quite the same level of nostalgia.

In short no not really!

No. It's never been a 'thing', since my retro machines have been almost exclusively computers, and everything was either made here, or was sold here if made elsewhere.

eBay makes it easy for me to spend copious amounts on Japanese consoles, which would otherwise be hard to find here, in North America.

No. I do collect NTSC games, but I usually get them from UK sellers. I have occasionally been sent games from a kindly overseas RG forum member though. :)
