Incredibly tough choice.

As a JRPG fan, I'll go with Final Fantasy IX. Lovable characters, nice story, great to look at and to listen to, tons of sidequests, an underrated gem that only came a bit late, when everybody was already looking at the PS2.

Chrono Cross, a beauty of an rpg that wonderfully stands the test of time, and Front Mission 3 would be equally worthy.

Tricky for me for different reasons... because I didn't own one for very long. I was thinking of going with a Colony Wars game, but I think I'll go with Rollcage Stage II which was just pure, flat-out fun racing.

I would have to go for Resident Evil 2. Everything was bigger and better than the original and the atmosphere was superb. It's crying out for a HD remake, make it happen Capcom!

Not an easy choice, but I will give another vote to Tenchu, it did stealth better than MGS and pretty much everything that followed.

Final Fantasy VII would easily be the most played.

My best memories are from the early days of it so will go with the weird, ugly and fun original Twisted Metal  .

There's so many to choose from, really difficult choice. Suikoden, definitely suikoden. I lost a lot of hours playing this, super game.

Of course the above is subject to change, as would be its replacement!

Hmm, what could it be, if only there was some sort of reminder I had? ;)

It has to be Wipeout 2097, the game that finally got future racing right. With sharper visuals than the original and that soundtrack, it's pulse pounding heaven on a disc, and, imho, a game that wasn't bettered until Wipeout Pure on the PSP.

Vib Ribbon, no question! A truly "never-ending" game, lots of ridiculous grinning going on as well.

The original Resident Evil. It may seem slow and clunky now, but I came straight to it from the Amiga, where I'd been playing stuff like Cruise for a Corpse, and it was just so slick and cinematic, with great set-pieces - dogs through the window (of course), the giant snake, those awful spiders, the Hunter debut, even the crows in the gallery.

For a horror nerd it was up there with discovering the George Romero zombie flicks for the first time.

Everybody's Golf. I'd never played any golfing games before, so thought I'd try this one. Loved it from the second that I started playing it & have enjoyed the series right through to the Vita.

2 games I always go back to and love to play are Speedsters (superb racer - reminds me of virtua racing with its very high top down view)

and Overboard...one of the most original games of the time and still great fun to play now....

Just had a peek at that on YouTube, looks fun! Same crazy camera angles as Mashed. Seems the Americans called it "Rush Hour".

Bishi Bashi, RE2 & FFVII have already been mentioned, so I'll go with Oddworld : Abe's Oddysee!

One of the 1st games I played on my mate's PS1, it's atmosphere and style made me want to play more and helped make the decision to fork out for a PS1 a bit easier! :)

I never got really into PS1, I was too occupied with PC and Nintendo gaming. But I loved the first PS1 game I ever played; Crash Bandicoot.
