A lot of people weren't happy about the Kick Off retrospective.
The problem being that the guy who did the retro never liked the Kick Off games in the first place so a lot of people thought it was an unfair article.
Probably one of my favourite articles ever. Bring back RevStu!

Late to the conversation, but given that those Spectrums were nearly all sold in the UK, whereas the Lynx's home market was a much wealthier and much more games-savvy US seven years later, then yes, that's pretty bad.

Clutching at straws there - game savvy? the handheld games market at the time was still very new, so you could argue it had far more going against it. On top of that the 5 million Spectrums included 128Ks, 16K, 48K etc

How about you go and find out the number of each sold in the UK, since that's where most of us come from, then tell me who's clutching at straws?

lynx sales were abysmal which ever way you look at it,

back in issue 103 we had Marty Goldberg stating that the lynx "bombed", the figure of 3 million seems somewhat inflated too, previous issues have had the figure of 2m-2.5m

Going back to the Lynx feature and the sales figures, If about 3 million units shifted is the pre-requisite for getting a feature in the mag, then it must be time for-

So not a Camputers Lynx then. Disappointed... Well, the Handy was developed by ex-Amiga guys so it must be full of good.

Better get writing that article then! (unless you know someone who can)... I personally would love to read about it, far more so than the Lynx.

The hardest games bit, which is a good article, has Dark Souls 2 in it. What was the discussion on its inclusion like, given that many would argue the ps1 isn't retro and DS2 came out this year??

Not a biggy, just curious, as "modern" does creep in fron time to time.

Ha ha come on you're never going to criticise anything he writes ! Again i've enjoyed a lot of past articles hes written, just wasnt keen on that particular one this month thats all. As soon as i saw the 'next month' page of the previous issue which mentioned the Lynx i thought 'oh oh i know whos going to write this, it'll be way too positive' and i just found that was the case. Again i really liked his other article, just wasnt keen on the Lynx one thats all.
