Nice cover!

I always like seeing what graphic they use for the bit next to 'the essential guide to classic games'. This months is the blimp which is shown i think at the beginning of Pole Position. I do like those small touches.

Anyway hopefully should get mine in about an hour, looking forward to this issue

Lovely Lovely cover. I just hope there's at least a mention of Crazy Cars 3 :)

CruisinUSA?! that was a awful arcade game, it certainly didn't 'evolve' any arcade racer, should have swapped that for Ridge Racer.

Looking forward to reading the new staff writers stuff.

Making of MSR, nice, read a superb making of...in Edge some while/years back, be interesting to see how the RG feature is approached.

You have UFO:Enemy Unknown?.(not read last months issue yet, so this came out the blue for me).Out bloody standing.Issue 'sold' to me on this alone!! (mute point as i subscribe, but kudos for featuring this!!!!!).

Re the XEGS...smart looking casing, but how on earth Atari thought aging software (which to be fair contained a large amount of classic titles) was going to compete with the NES which had all the big name games tied up, has always baffled me.Brave, but foolish attempt by Atari.

Atari's magazine ads for 'The latest and the greatest' i used to see in likes of ACE, listing Archon, Ballblazer, Blue Max, Fight Night, Rescue On Fractalus, Thunderfox etc' and i'd just shake my head thinking i played Ballblazer, R.O.F, Blue Max etc years and years ago as an 800XL owner, where were the latest, in terms of big names?

I agree with the rest, but "smart looking case"

I know the snes looks like a fisher price toy, but i cant even describe what the hell that is trying to look like

Each their own! I suppose it does make you want to press those coloured buttons, which also cause problems whilst playing a game!

The full set-up (cart.in console, keyboard on and XC12 Tape deck connected, plus light gun plugged in) i find looks nice, but then you have to take into account the years of abuse i had at hands of Atari's wretched 410 tape decks, ugly, unrealible etc.I like look of the SNES, it's the N64 that i find Fisher Price, pushing slabs of plastic into bigger slab of plastic, i half expected a MOO! and Cluck Cluck Cluck! to come from the bloody thing each time i pressed a button or flicked a switch, it felt like a bloody activity center!.
