The problem is all those series are variable. I have always hated Outrun, the first one just isn't playable, but Outrun 2/2006 are superb.

Same for Ridge. I'm still not fond of the first ones but Rage Racer and 6 were excellent.

Sega's Turbo. For so many years it hung on in there, turning up in every travelling fair or in a dark corner of a big arcade like an old friend waiting to greet me. Lovely little wheel for the controller, just the right level of responsiveness to make it tight and playable even against its newer, shinier brethren.

Of those you've given, I'll pick Ridge Racer though.

It's between Out Run and Ridge Racer, in which both game provided lots of thrill and excitement along the way.

For the record I'd probably pick Outrun 2006. But I don't really want to vote for Outrun because that'll imply I actually like "Outrun".

I'm not really much on racing games but I've always loved the rolling start bit on the first track of Daytona, always gives me a bit of a buzz.

Since there's no Final Lap twin listed I'd plump for ridge racer to be honest , as I've had the most fun with (after final lap sessions with my mates though).

It's gotta be Outrun for the sheer quality of the game and how it's stood the test of time. For good old 2+ player fun it's gotta be Daytona.

No Road Blasters on the list? Fair enough, it's not the greatest racer ever and not the same genre as the others, but i liked it.
