That's easy it's the all action and totally cool Rolling Thunder 2. It's a totally awesome port of the arcade game that I wasn't able to play in the UK when it first came out. A reason to own a Mega Drive I'd say.

Eswat, excellent game, saw running in some computer shop, had to buy a MegaDrive the next day and that game.

BTW, I own the excellent Teradrive, purchased from Sega offices London:

Teradrive is a 286 PC and Megadrive in a PC, use it as a PC, or with a flick of the switch, a Megadrive, or combine both.

The pictures don't do it justice, but Megadrive games on monitor look fantastic.

There's just too many! But if I had to choose one it would have to be Flashback, simply brilliant.

The Megadrive was my first introduction to gaming of any sort. It's still my favourite console.

For me The Legend of Galahad.

First game i ever bought and first game i ever completed.

Has anyone mentioned Streets of Rage 2?
Bloody brilliant, that game, and permanently sat in my MD just in case I fancy a quick BeMup. The only thing that improves it is running it at 60Mhz with an overclocked CPU. Luckily I have modded my MD so I get the benefit of that, it makes the game so much more smooth and repsonsive.

Dammit, every time I think I've sorted a fave a previous post reminds me of other faves! Flashback, NHL, Madden, Streets of Rage 2, Gouls n Ghosts, Jungle Strike, all worthy.

I will go for Road Rash 2 as the game I played to death the most. And Road Rash 2 over the original due to being able to knock the cops off their bikes in single player, and my brother off his in split screen

Street of Rage 2: a big step forward from the first chapter and one of the best beat'em up in history.

   Totally agree.

There's not a game mentioned yet that I don't totally love. Makes me want to have an extended MD playing session this weekend. :D

Also NHL 94, Hellfire, Wonder Boy in Monster World, Earthworm Jim, Castlevania Bloodlines, Golden Axe 2, Gain Ground, NBA Jam....I ruddy LOVE the Mega Drive. :D :D :D

So many! For me it's NHLPA 93... not for any aesthetic reasons, just cos you can smash the glass at the side of the rink!! :0)

Honourable mentions to Streets of rage 1 and 2, Sonic 1-3 and the Strike series...

It's like choosing a favourite child - if I had to pick one though it would be PGA European tour, with any of the madden games a very close second.

Easy peasy - Thunder Force IV, my favourite game of all time, never mind just the Megadrive.

Predictably Sonic 2.
I missed the boat with Sonic 1, and it just passed me by unnoticed. Then I saw my nieces playing Sonic 2 at my sisters house one Christmas, and it completely blew me away. The smoothness of the scrolling was astounding. Sonic 2 is one of those games I still play today, and is the only Mega Drive game I still start up in an emulator occasionally. I'm sure there are hundreds worth emulating, but for me Sonic 2 is the one that does it for me.

Aero Blasters. Absolutely love this game so much and pretty much my second favourite shooter of the era, just after Axelay.
