Re: Official Feedback Issue 105

I think it's a bit mad & I quite like it, It reminds me of crazy early 80's computer publications like Input, but I can see a lot of people not liking it at all.

I don't have sound on my pc so I'll have a look at the content later.

Re: Official Feedback Issue 105
The issue looks great, can't wait to get my hands on it. Loads of content i'm looking forward to reading. The Mire Mare article looks great as does the clones article (i'd better get some Microsoft points ready) and the controversy article. I always found the ST to be the Amigas poor relation so maybe that article will illuminate me. Is that Jagfest's piece by the way?
Anyhoo, can't wait to get it.

Just watching the video, looking good. I like the cover, bit of a bold decision though.
I presume the Atari ST feature is Jagfests ! Congrats actually on getting an article in the mag, i hope its not too over the top pro-Atari ST but i will read it with an open mind.
Weird its already issue 105 ! Only seemed like the famous issue 100 last week. Cant wait for the Grandstand article next month

Andrew Fisher is a C64 nut. Will you be reading his incoming C64 piece with an open mind? Mat Allen loves the vectrex. Did you read his piece with an open mind.psj3809 wrote:

I know that Jagfest can be a pain on here sometime, and I certainly don't want to look like I'm singling you out psj3809 as you do a lot of good work on the forum) but I am getting a little fed up with the suggestions (stated or otherwise) that Retro Gamer is becoming nothing more than a magazine for people to state their own biased opinions.
Re: Official Feedback Issue 105
Absolutely, it makes perfect sense to have people writing articles about things that they have enthusiasm for passionately care about.....
......unless it's a footie game franchise, in which case it's best to get someone who despises it.*

These 'nuts' also however seem open to other rival systems, i dont see Andrew arguing in some 400 page thread about what the best system was over and over and wont simply dismiss other machines.
Anyway need to wait till i can read the article. As i said fair play to the fella for getting his article in there which must be a great thing personally

That looks like a bloody good issue to me.

New Amiga, SAM Coupé and Speccy games available at http://blackjet.co.uk
Re: Official Feedback Issue 105
I love that cover!!! I think it's outstanding!
A lot of great content in this issue, especially the Tempest article, really looking forward to reading it.
Great to see Dungeon Master too as it perfectly complements my ST article.
I get really bored of this false opinion some people seem to have that I only like Atari machines, I am sure you will be interested to know who wrote the PC Engine feature for the next issue . . .
Do I love Atari? Yes of course I do and if I had to pick they are my biggest retro love but given that my favourite home consoles are the Mega Drive and Saturn and my favourite computer will always be the Spectrum (as stated on many occasions here) I would say that I am far from some biased fanboy.
I hope that when you read the article you are pleasantly surprised . . . .

An Apple II on the cover. With Raster Blaster. Bill Budge inside. Mr D (may I call you Mr D? Ah, ok Darran then), you are my hero, with medals on. Will be a while till i sink my teeth into it but now i have something to certifiably milk up over during the next weeks whilst performing my mind-numbingly boring tasks at the jellybean plant.
