The vast majority of us do an outstanding job, especially this time of year when you wouldn't believe the amount we have to deliver.
No crying about Manic Monday and having to suspend collections like some of our rivals.

One offended postman.
I've heard customers moaning about stuff ordered using economy or standard 'free' postage services. Why these people do this so close to Christmas then complain that stuff isn't arriving in time is beyond me. Pay for a better service or - even better - buy stuff earlier if possible to avoid what will always happen at this time of year.

It's all because people order stuff and 'need' everything now, now, now. Have some bloody patience.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

For what it's worth PostieDoc, I can't speak for your local mail, but I have found UK international post up there with the best if not the best- If at all poss I generally order from UK sites for stuff :)

Saturday basically over and my special edition blu-ray hasn't arrived, despite promises that it would definitely be here by Saturday. :?

To those who have received theirs, were any of you indiegogo or kickstarter backers? If so, did you receive your perks at the same time?

I imagine with the reports about other carriers being in trouble due to online ordering, the normal mail is slowing up too. It took something six days to arrive here (12th on the post office stamp to 18th at the door) despite being mailed first class.
Lie with passion and be forever damned...

As an international customer I don't expect to see mine until after New Year, and could possibly be a week or two after...taking into account distance and not the ideal time to be sending stuff out.
I can deal with that though...I'm just happy it is now pressed and being sent out and we're starting to see them :)

I just hope it doesn't get lost in the Xmas post! Still no sign of it...

Same here. Today's post has been and gone and it's still not arrived. Somehow I don't think the below claim taken from their Facebook page is going to come true:

UK orders of 'From Bedrooms to Billions' (the story of the British Video Games Industry) before Saturday 20th December 'will' arrive before Christmas! Order at http://www.frombedroomstobillions.com Many postman have risked their lives to bring us this information!

I only found out about it a couple of months ago and paid for it then.
I feel a bit bad that I received my copy before the original backers have theirs.

The likes of Yodel and UKMail can never cope this time of year and dump a lot of their parcels onto Royal Mail to deliver for them.
Amazon are supposed to be delivering their own stuff now but half the parcels coming through my office are Amazon parcels.

Having said that, we are well on top of things so I'm not sure why people haven't received their copies yet (providing they have all actually been sent).

Mine too. I'll be polite and say I'm whelmed. Front cover art is nice enough (seen it so often now), but the back is a bit dull, not keen on the white on blue text, I can just read it. Probably fine if I bothered to put my specs on (a rare thing).
