They're taking the mickey a bit with the CD being priced at £50!! I know it's new stuff by Rob Hubbard and Ben Daglish, they're signing it, and there's a 30 min documentary. But more than double the price of the DVD is a bit much

I would have bought a CD if it had been £25 - think they have priced this way too high to get many pledgers

I'm really happy to see this funded, and I think it will be historically extremely valuable. All those interviews, detailing such a rich history. It's perfect.
It's received 353 backers in about... 14 days? The page also mentions crowd funding in 2012. This was on Indiegogo, right?
What's the difference between Kickstarter and Indiegogo? I'd not even heard of IGogo until now, whereas Kickstarter has had a lot of headlines.
I'm fascinated by the story behind the story, as it were!

There's not much difference between IndieGogo and Kickstarter really. Both do effectively the same job. I believe the reason they chose IG for the first fundraiser is because Kickstarter didn't have a UK site at the time. Now they do, and it's obviously got a LOT more exposure and backers, evidently people who heard about the project but missed out the funding on IG originally.
Lie with passion and be forever damned...

The IGoGo one was paid in $, so I'm not sure what the benefit was for them, as we still had to pay in $. Now it's better 'cause it's in £.
It's doing really well now. The last time it was a bit slow to get going.

Some of the rewards are a little more realistic now, especially the copy of the DVD

you haven't seen the price of the CD then - £50! But, yes the DVD is much more reasonably priced this time. Looking forward to both (if I can justify that amount on a CD)

If I could get the CD for £10, I'd buy it, but not at these crazy prices.
You do get a digital copy of the film with it, and it's signed, but I'm getting the digital copy anyway with the Blu-Ray I've ordered, and I don't really care about a digital versions of things.

No, didn't see the CD, only had eyes for the movie

Yes you're right, that's way OTT. They seemed to have learnt from the DVD but not the CD. 50 is way too much even for Ltd edition

The makers are now looking to hit their stretch goal of £100k - if they hit this, they will release a special edition of the DVD/BR which will contain 4hrs of extras (full interviews etc) - and give it away "free" to all backers
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/119 ... sts/426546
Not sure what happens to this special edition if they don't hit their stretch goal

I think they have now dropped the price for this.
