SHARKNADO (Atari 2600)

When a freak hurricane swamps Los Angeles, nature's deadliest killer rules sea, land, and air as thousands of sharks terrorize the waterlogged populace. As sharks and debris rain around you, fly close enough to the storm to toss bombs in so the explosions will equalize the pressure and neutralize the twisters.

The player controls the helicopter at the bottom of the screen. Fire the bombs up at the tornado moving along the top of the screen. Enough bombs will neutralize the twister. Avoid debris and sharks.

SHARKNADO is a work in progress game for the Atari 2600. There will be two prototype cartridges made that will be signed by Tara Reid at the Spooky Empire Convention in Orlando, Florida, October 24-26 2014.

The finished version of SabreWulf is now available on the ti99/4a, do yourself a favour and get a copy of Classic99 emulator and try it out, the cartridge version features everything from the original-complete with title page and multi channel music.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to announce a new release on the AirwalkStudios shop. It’s a genesis port of the popular puzzle game 2048 by Oerg866.

For those of you who haven’t played the game yet, the goal is to build up large tiles by 2’s and 4’s until you run out of similar tiles to slide together. To create one 2048 tile is the main goal of the game, but obviously you can go much higher than that. The genesis port features the same exact game and goal, but in a 16-bit style all put together in a nice looking cartridge. The cartridge uses a new PCB, so the game will start up right away.
The game costs $37.50 + $5.00 shipping/handling. We're currently running a 25% discount on the game so now's the time to buy! If you’re interested in purchasing it you can purchase it from the following link:

Hi everybody.

I'd like to announce a WIP of an Amstrad CPC program I have been working on for the last few years in my spare time. It's called Chunky Pixel Curator (see what I did there?), and it's going to be a gallery of CPC game sprites!

It's a 2.5D engine, with real-time full-screen sprite animation, clipping, flipping and scaling!
(By the way, it's chunky in name, chunky in nature - the big fat pixels are a deliberate design decision).

The engine is finally finished, and now all I need to do is stuff it with content.

Interested people may have seen this already but just in case they haven't, I'm developing an Amiga game which is a flip-screen platformer inspired by Dizzy and so on called Maxwell Mouse. Recently we released a demo of our engine which is a standalone small game called Maxwell Mouse And The Missing Game Mystery. It's a 29-screen game where Maxwell has to retrieve his new Amiga game which has been taken from his house. It should run on any 1MB Amiga and can be grabbed from:

On land during the day, we humans rule. Or at least we are considered top predators, and with our feet on the ground, we are in our element. In the sea, without a boat, forget about it. We are too slow, too encumbered with gear, and often too stupid to be much more then prey. What's to worry about down there? Plenty!

To be eaten - think about it for more then a moment and you're likely to push the thought from your rational mind and back into the depths of your subconsciousness.

The Great White Shark is one of a handful of animals alive today that can actually eat one of us alive - and sometimes does.

Eat people to avoid starvation, but watch out for that pesky Coast Guard and explosive mines!

Controls and game play:

In Hunger Shark you play as a shark with an insatiable appetite.- To move Hunger Shark, point the joystick in the direction you want him to move.

- To eat people, Hunger Shark must sufficiently overlap them. Doing so gains you points, and replenishes a bit of your Hunger Bar.
- If your Hunger Bar drains completely, you will die of starvation.
- After some time, when the water becomes blood red, the Coast Guard will send a patrol ship and shoot at you.

- Touching a squid collects it for later use. Using a squid, by pressing fire, will replenish your health completely, but will spray ink, thus turning Hunger Shark and the water black for a time. You can carry up to three squids at a time, but touching them will always yield 1000 bonus points.
- Treasure is known to pop up at the sea floor from time to time. It may not be nutritious, but it does yield 1000 bonus points.
- Mines will periodically spawn near the bottom of the screen, so be on your guard!
- The game increases in difficulty slightly with each level.

I'm going to post this here and on the forum. I've written a port of Tomb of Dracula originally on the spectrum to the mega drive. I've used the existing C 64 port graphics.

I'd really like to get this games graphics and sound upgraded and it all published on cart using a kickstarter campaign. However I am unable to trackdown the original author so this is all a pipe dream is anyone here able to help?
