Looks nice in a little screenshot, but the cover is gorgeous in the flesh. The feature looks pretty nice too, so I'll even forgive the subs for turning chunks of my text into gibberish as usual...

Yippeeeee :D

Yet again I get Retro Gamer on a Saturday :!: :D :!:

Excellent cover - although its annoying having the fire button and joystick - yet not playable! Also I think there is an error as the screen is static :( Maybe its crashed) Should I reboot the cover and see if it works :?

Anyway - my usual saturday morning take the kids to swimming lessons - and read the mag instead of watching them :o

So far I have read :

Before they were famous - EXCELLENT :D Some shocking photo's of ugly mugs there  and wich one of the oliver twins was at RF:Wog???

Nice screenshots on the MK retrorevival! You NEED to make ALL of them like this in future!!!

Fisting article was a little graphic for a games mag - Oh! sorry, that was the last few pages of the mag

No really - the FIST article is EXCELLENT

Back to the 80's is as usual - smashing :D

Only a half hour swimming lesson - so thats all I got to read  BUT on the brighter side, I get to read the rest at a slower pace

MESSAGE TO THOSE THAT HAVE YET TO GET THERE COPY OF THE MAG..........

:P :P :P :P :P :P    :P :P :P :P

Mine didn't arrive. Time for my first "Bah! Humbug!" of the year:

Bah! Humbug!

Here's looking forward to Monday.

As Darran says, the article covers all three games in the series, not just WotEF. Triple the fist! Erm.
GetDexter wrote:Before you Amstrad bashers get started, yes I KNOW that the Amstrad version only had one backdrop whereas the Speccy and Commie versions had two or more, and I KNOW it was also slightly slower than those versions, but do you realise that the Amstrad version had the best colour and crisper graphics!
Man, are you going to hate one of the captions (if they used it)... Mind you, at least the CPC version was better than the awful C16/+4 effort.

Here's looking forward to the issue!
Oh - and the Amstrad had no in game tune - just spot effects for the kicks and punches... but what you don't understand was that it STILL rocked my own little 14 year old gaming mind at the time :)
As requested by the Tw@t himself - his account was Hijacked and has had a change of password.

Sorry Dexter!

I totally understand, and apart from the dire C16/+4 version, all of those I checked out had something good going for them, including the CPC version. But compared to the C64 and Speccy versions, the CPC one just didn't feel as good.

Anyway, once I get my issue through, I'll totally rip off the Rev and do a DVD-style "extras" bit for anything that's been mercilessly cut by the editors.

Then for now I shall jump in with these two wonderful screenshots from Galaga 88 that sadly didn't make the cut to the Definitive Galaxian piece.
