I don't like Mega Man so I haven't voted... it's one of those games that doesn't appeal to me. Don't know why?

 Only ever played 2, so voted for that.Combination of high difficulty level and that wretched pad (in my hands? it's like a giant holding a match box), meant i found little love.

That and fact the 2 kids who were showing the game off to me (My then bosses kids), made it look so easy..the shame of the exp.put me off rest of the series.

Megaman 2 for me. It's the first Megaman game I played and it still remains my favourite today mainly due to the great bosses and decent difficulty level the game had.

I went for Mega Man 4. I like the ones before but there is just something about four that clinches it for me. Could be the bosses, could be the addition of the Mega Buster, either way It's my favourite NES Mega Man game.

Megaman, wow, it's escapes me why this franchise is so iconic, but there's some decent games there, Megaman 3 being the first one i played. Fine game, interesting bosses, tough to beat as well.

It's going to be Mega Man 2 as I recalled playing it on the Gameboy which was really good.

I actually love the Mega Man games, despite being a bit rubbish at them due to their high difficulty....It has to be 2 as my favourite as well, as that's the one I've played the most and got the furthest in!

The sequels got a bit samey after a while, but I love the fact that they kept it very similar for the 360 arcade release of Mega Man 9! Exactly how a new game in a retro franchise should be!

The first game I played in the series was Mega Man 2. That was 22 years ago and I still enjoy it to this day. It was also the very first video game I ever beat, so it holds a special place in my personal gaming history.

Another vote for mega man 2. At the time it really pushed the NES limitations to the max. Very polished while still keeping the same feel as mega man 1. To me, the sequels just felt like hash and rehash. It's too bad the series really lost it's way.

That freaking rock monster from mega man 1 still grinds my gears

Definitely 2, as it was the only one that gave me a fighting chance of getting somewhere in it.

2 is generally regarded as the better game but 4 was the first one I played and I loved the slide dash and charge shot. After using these abilities I found it hard to get into a mega man game without them.

Call me mental, but I've always preferred the Game Boy versions. Cute sprites and small but tough levels, perfectly suited to the handheld brick.
