Have Any US Subscribers Received Issue 95 Yet?

Post by Jet Pilot » Sun Nov 06, 2011 7:31 am

Have any US subscribers received issue 95 yet? 3 of us here on the forums have not yet received our copies. :(

Our issues normally show up about a week or so after UK subscribers receive their issues. 3 weeks have now elapsed, so the issue is running about 2 weeks behind the normal delivery schedule.

Is anyone aware of an overseas shipping delay for issue 95? Are any other international subscribers still waiting for issue 95?

Comments of suggestions?

Thanks. :)

I still have not received my copy yet, I sent an email to the team. They said everything was dispatched correctly and can only assume its been lost, they will send a replacement copy which should arrive between 7-21 days.
Now this is the 3rd time this has happened to me, I don't know how things get "lost" in the mail unless there are actual postal employees who know about retrogamer and just "take" the copies.

If I could file a complaint with someone I would but its hard to point a finger when it's all assumption.
I kinda wish RetroGamer would use Fedex or UPS for deliveries here in the states as they are way more reliable/professional, but I'm sure that would raise the shipping prices up.
I would even say Retrogamer should use non-distinct packaging so nobody knows what it is.

Had a replacement sent out today as well. First time I've ever had ANYTHING from the UK lost in the post. Hopefully just a fluke and not the beginning of a new trend.

I received mine on time, about a week after UK subscribers. It was mint, as well.

I hope I didn't just jinx myself for the next issue. :?

I finally got my regular copy on Saturday, but I also got the replacement one today. I sent an email to subscriptions to let them know.

Thanks for the update. Still waiting here in Kentucky for both my original and replacement (sent on the 10th). :(

Issue 96 is due any day now. Hopefully that one actually shows up. :?

Replacement arrived today. Only took 5 days enroute. I wonder if the original will ever show up.

I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread and found that I wasn't the only person who had this happen with issues 95 and 96. My guess is that it was an erratic shipping issue and not multiple postal employees suddenly taking an interest in Retro Gamer.

I seem to recall getting two issues rather close to each other over the summer as well. The wait is worth it though.

I got issues 95 and 96 without a problem. I've had 1 or 2 issues damaged in the mail in the past but I think it is more due to the carelessness of my postal carrier than anything else.
